Review of Cookworks Kettle by Deetzyb

Advantages: Cheap but good value for money
Disadvantages: Can't think of one

...Having just broken my Prima glass kettle (which I loved) which is a completely different story, my hunt was on for a new kettle. The Cookworks range are pretty cheap in price and I've seen their products in Asda and Argos and am sure they are stocked in loads of other places too. I decided that I would like the old fashioned, traditional style of kettle but being just after Christmas, there was a strick budget to adhere to. I chose the Cookworks Chrome Cordless Kettle which I bought from Argos at #16.99 (sorry the pound sign isn't working!). It is described as 'traditional' in the Argos catalogue and is obviously chrome as mentioned. The handle is black, heavy duty plastic mould as all kettles and it has a black base to rest on. What else is there to say? It is great value for money, quick to boil and when compared to the more... Read review

Cookworks Silver Glass Blender
Review of Cookworks Silver Glass Blender by sufisu

Advantages: Easy to clean, cheap and effective.
Disadvantages: Glass jug is quite heavy and sometimes it doesn't blend efficiently

...After my previous, very expensive, blender blew up, I decided to go for a cheaper model and opted for the Cookworks blender with glass jug and, considering it came in at just under £20, it's a very effective blender. This has 2 speeds plus a pulse option. The glass jug is very simple to clean, unlike plastic ones which may be lighter but have the disadvantage of material clinging to the sides. With the glass jug, everything is washed away very quickly. The lid is rubbery/bendy plastic which gives a very tight fit so no chance of the lid flying off and splattering all over the kitchen and the stopper is one of those that is push and twist to secure. Drawbacks are that the glass jug is really quite heavy and obviously breakable if dropped. I use mine for smoothies, sauces and soups and have found that sometimes, even on the top... Read review

Cookswork cordless kettle
Review of Cookworks Kettle by jenny967

Advantages: Very cheap
Disadvantages: noisy when boiling

...I got up one morning to find my kettle had packed in, I was like a bear with a sore head as I love my tea in the morning, so of I went to Argos to get a new kettle, expecting to pay about £15 to £20, but I was well impressed when I found a Cookwork one for £7. While I was there I noticed other items in the Cookswork range are also very cheap. So I decided to buy the Cookworks kettle, white in colour and cordless, the max capacity is 1.7 litres. So I was pleased at the idea of saving myself a few quid, and so far so good its still going, although I did only buy it about four months ago. The only bad point so far is that it is noisy when it boils, but who cares I am still able to have my tea, so the noise is bearable. Highly recommended... Read review
