The "Cavalier" is CoolerMaster's brand new state-of-the-art chassis series. Breaking away from traditional flat case design, it combines smooth, flowing lines, and dual curves front bezel. With its stylish design, the Cavalier lets you create your own personal style.
Advantages: Cheap, well ventilated, screw-less design Disadvantages: None for me.
...When upgrading my computer and installed the new parts in my old case, this proved to be a bit of a silly idea as the temperatures it was running at was too high.
Having largely spent out on the upgrade i wanted a fairly cheap case.
The CoolerMaster CM690 looked like it was to fit the bill perfectly, its was fairly cheap approx £55, it did NOT come with power supply, which for me wasn't a problem as I'd just bought a new CoolerMaster Real Power M620 620W PSU.
To start with this case looks very good and feels light when empty.
It also feels sturdy and well balanced on my desk and on carpet, although a carpet with too high a pile on it could interfere with the PSU exhaust and the mounting for another fan.
The front and top of the case is basically a big grille which obviously helps with letting the hot air escape.

Advantages: Looks really nice, cools the hard drive by few degrees, easy to use Disadvantages: None really
...the PC as you wish.
The Cool Drive claims to offer an airflow of 9.21CFM, which isn't great but it is only a small fan which is being used to cool the hard-drive. Upon putting my hand up to the grill protecting the fan it's really hard to feel the air being drawn in, such is the power of the fan. Yet it does still manage to reduce the hard-drive temperature, which is what it's meant to be doing anyway. It also claims to be no louder then 29dBA, which is hard to judge, but it is really really quiet in operation so it's probably about right.
This particular model - the Cool Drive 4, produced by well known manufacturers CoolerMaster, is a combination of two previous models which they had released. One had the ability to store a hard drive and cool it down, with the small internal fan provided - the CoolDrive. The other - Aerogate II...

...First of all the Cosmos S case comes in excellent protective packaging. A sturdy cardboard outer box encases two styrofoam blocks (top & bottom) which prevent the case from moving at all during transportation. The case is wrapped inside of a plastic bag, and then again, inside CoolerMaster's own fabric bag which is brown in colour and is strong enough to retain and use in the future whenever the case needs covering. It's the little extra's and attention to detail that makes a lot of difference in my opinion.
If first impression's are anything to go by, then this case ticks all the boxes. It's huge, beautiful and demands the attention of any passer by, whether they are interested in computers or not!
Along with the case comes a plastic bag containing all of the necessary bits and pieces to assemble the case and control the cable...

I purchased this PSU when I got the rest of my new system to build because I know Cooler Master have a good reputation when it comes to power supplies and computer cases, and I must say that I made a good choice in doing this, as I have had no problems... more
