First of all the Cosmos S case comes in excellent protective packaging. A sturdy cardboard outer box encases two styrofoam blocks (top & bottom) which prevent the case from moving at all during transportation. The case is wrapped inside of a plastic bag, and then again, inside Cooler Master's own fabric bag which is brown in colour and is strong enough to retain and use in the future whenever the case needs covering. It's the little extra's and attention to detail that makes a lot of difference in my opinion.

If first impression's are anything to go by, then this case ticks all the boxes. It's huge, beautiful and demands the attention of any passer by, whether they are interested in computers or not!

Along with the case comes a plastic bag containing all of the necessary bits and pieces to assemble the case and control the cable management. The plastic bag contains; tie wraps, cable management fixings, screws of varying sizes, 3 1/2 inch fixings, and a motherboard speaker. There is a huge surplus of screws and fixings, so don't worry about running out!

To open the case (either side) there is a quick release latch on the top rear of the case that when pushed upwards releases the side panel quite nicely. With the side panel removed, you realise just how much space you have to play with. A piece of white paper is attached to the side wall showing where the fixings need to be depending upon which motherboard setup you are using. There are lots of purposely placed holes on the side walls which allow the cables to be hidden and controlled very well. The case comes with 4 fans included, with the option of easily adding a further 4. The hard drive cage has a 120mm intake fan on the front which contains red L.E.D.'s and looks very good when powered up. Due to the mesh design on the front, the red L.E.D. effect can be seen easily. The mesh design is continued on the side and top of the case promoting great air flow throughout. On the left side panel there is a 200mm intake fan which directs cool air across the graphics card slots, the memory modules, and both the northbridge and southbridge chipsets. The 2 exhaust fans are both 120mm and situated on the top and top rear of the case. Only the front hard drive cage fan has the L.E.D.'s included.

Due to the huge amount of space I had no trouble installing the power supply and motherboard, and the cable management design promotes a very tidy looking case when everything is in place. I am not currently using an SLI setup, but when I do I will have no problems housing 2 8800GTX's!

Without adding any further cooling, the flow of air circulating throughout the case is phenomenol. I was slightly worried before the setup that the noise from the fans was going to be an annoyance. This was not the case, I was pleasantly surprised to find the case relatively quiet, especially when considering the amount of air being forced around it.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The case looks fantastic and in my opinion is by far the most serious looking, most attractive case I have ever seen. It's domineering presence is a must, for any serious gamer or pc enthusiast. The huge amount of space inside bodes well for any future expansions and advancements in technology. There is also a purposely placed compartment on the top of the case that will quite easily house a radiator for those of you that wish to use a water cooled setup. There are also 2 holes on the top rear of the case to accomodate the water pipes required. At this point in time I have no negative points to make about the case.

If you are considering purchasing the Cosmos S, my advice is go for it. The case is great value and every inch of it feels sturdy and luxurious. Owning this will make you the envy of all your friends, believe me, I know!
