...I recently began to use a “Cordon Bleu” slow cooker to cook meat while I am out of the house at work. This was a Christmas present from a business associate a couple of years back, but had lain in my attic ever since, still in the box and gathering dust. While rummaging around for the Christmas decorations, I happened across it, brought it down, and decided to give it a try. The first good point is its simplicity. You simply add water, any stock or vegetables that you wish to use, pop in your meat, and turn on the electricity. It can be left to simmer away in safety for the whole day, and does not boil dry because of the well sealed lid. The results are amazing. ...*** INTRO *** With gas prices about to rise I decided to buy myself a toaster to see if I could make a long term saving on my toast production. I checked out my Argos catalogue and ordered my Cordon Bleu 2 - slice toaster on special offer for £7.99 reduced from just under £10. The toaster comes in a sturdy cardboard box with a fitted plug and instructions for use. *** THE PRODUCT *** The product is simple to use and so far has presented no problems for me. It has 3 basic functions cancel, reheat and frozen bread functions. A variable browning control, removable crumb tray and a bun warmer that sits on top.
