Kingston have done it again, for me anyway. They have brought me the memory modules I need for that low price, allowing me to boost up my desk top RAM without deflating my wallet, keeping the kids happy as well as my bank manager, (although I don?t really care for my bank manager at the moment).
The desk top I have added these Kingston modules to is in the E-machine range which my kids use for there school ...

I purchased the OCZ 2gb (2x 1gb) Platinum ram when i revamped my PC. What a difference it makes! I have never been able to open so many applications, and switch between them so quickly.
The installation was very quick. One complication though. Although the packet does not tell you, the ram runs at 2.2 volts, not 1.8 which computer are default set to. This is because the ram is designed for gaming, and so is more power hungry. If the voltage is not changed the ram will not run as quickly, and there will be no point buying the ram. To adjust the voltage is easy, just enter into the bios settings of the motherboard, buy clicking one of the F buttons while the computer loads up. Then navigate to the hardware section, and select ram voltage and adjust it to +0.4v and save the settings. I have a Gigabyte motherboard, and it is very ...

When I built my new pc I check around to find the fastest the most reliable ram I could afford without burning a big hole in my bank balance, and the Corsair XMS2Dominator is what all of my research came up with
A solid performer with good overcloking caperbillates with good heat spreaders, ok so it runs at 800 MHz standard but with a bit of carefully pushing (and the correct type of cooling) will run at 1066 quite happily.
The memory is very easy to install and if like me you can see the insides of your gaming rig it looks damn fine just sat there on the motherboard
So you can get more bang for your money by overclocking this ram but be careful you don?t want to kill it
