This is a great stick, it's huge. I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to do to fill it up. I have enough music on here to keep me going, I have all the software I need on here, as a matter of fact I'm using Firefox portable on this memory stick to write the review as we speak.

So,... I managed to get my boss to agree to slip one of these in with works last order of memory sticks, so technically it's not mine. I've used many of these sticks, and plan to stick with the Corsair Flash Voyager for the foreseeable future, despite reasonable offerings from Kingston and Sandisk.
This is a great stick, it's huge. I'm not quite sure yet what I'm going to do to fill it up. I have enough music on here to keep me going, I have all the software I need on here, as a matter of fact I'm using Firefox portable on this memory stick to write the review as we speak.
These drives are generally very reliable, I've only had one fail on me and I'm on Flash Voyager number 6 now. I certainly prefer them to either of the Kingston USB drives or the SanDisk ones that we use.
The stick itself, like the other members of the family, is made out of some sort of rubber, the only problem here is that black rubber seems to attract little white bits of fluff. however the advantage being that rubber doesn't rattle around in your pockets or your bag.
The physical size of the stick is a little awkward, it's great to hold, and not too big or too tiny, but it can be awkward plugging in 2 of these sticks into ports next to each other. This one came with a wee USB cable included, which is useful if only for allowing you room for using any nearby ports.
The software is the same as the rest of the Corsair Voyager family. You don't have to use the software on the disk, but the software provided is very easy to use and worth installing. The software included on the stick allows you to rename / repartition the USB stick, however for those who need a secure partition for their data, the Corsair utility needs to be installed on every machine that the drive is used on. This is fine if you're only ever going to use the drive in two locations, but otherwise it can become a pain in the backside having to install something wherever you go, and it is worth remembering that some PCs, such as internet Cafes, University, or some workplaces, will not allow you to install software on them.
There are claims that this stick is rugged to the point of being extremely difficult to break. I personally wouldn't like to test this, especially not with a £110 stick, and it does feel as though you can snap the stick in half. I have only dropped it once, and ti survived as should be expected, but these sticks are generally pretty rugged and Corsair provide a ten year warranty, so I'll probably lose this one before I manage to break it.
This stick is fast; although it does take longer to fill than Corsair's 4GB offering. Perhaps a little more streamlined to fit USB sticks in consecutive USB ports would be nice, but otherwise this is another bloody nice stick. I've not washed it yet, as I'm trying to be careful with it, but if it holds up as well as its the rest of the line it should last as long as can be reasonable expected of it.
At 8GB big there is huge amounts of space. I can't see any reason why I need that much space on a USB stick at this moment in time, however if you're like me this is not really an overriding value when buying toys. At £120 though it's pretty expensive, and unless you can persuade your employers to part with the cash for it, and that can be pretty difficult, I'd recommend getting the 4GB version instead.
That said if you have stupid amounts of money to burn, and aren't horrified by the thought of leaving £120 of memory stick in the back of a taxi/on a train/etc then it might be worth getting, although for the money I'd personally go for one of the portable hard drives on the market, such as the Iomega 8GB Micro Mini HDD. I personally cannot justify the expense of this memory stick, so I'd wait until it drops down in price when the next model becomes available.
Advantages: Rugged product and excellent after sales service. Disadvantages: Protective cap is not attached to body.
...it out of your pocket, which is exactly what I did after 5 months, losing the cap. It's exactly this point that makes the corsair a clear winner for me, because replacement caps can be requested via the Corsair website. Overall, a well designed, quality product that I highly recommend. ...

Advantages: price, speed and reliability Disadvantages: A little large but ideal to put on your car keys etc
I use USB flash drives frequently and regularly have to replace them, I carry them with my car keys which especially with laptops they bend. And I can finally say that I have found one that can take anything!! This gadget is encased in rubber, is water resistant and comes with a 10 year manufactures guarantee, which shows you how robust they are. I bought one for £18 over a year ago and whilst in my lap top my dog sat beside me and knocked it which resulted in a loose connection, and the manufacture replaced it for me, new for old. They are ~ £13 from Amazon now so a bargain. Here are some of the speeds below which are genuine: Writing: 1 MB files = 4.8 MB/s 10 MB files = 15 MB/s 50 MB files = 18 MB/s ...

Formated capacity is 7.6Gig (arrives formatted to FAT32)
Works with Vista and XP Speeds are not very good (nowhere near the manufactures quoted 32MB/Sec Read and 24MB/Sec Write)
Tested on both my systems and works at 2MB to 4MB/Sec Write 19MB/Sec Read (yes I am using USB2 ports)
So if you don't mind slow write speed it is OK.
