This is one of corsairs most popular flash drives, being water resistant and fairly drop resistant too.
The 8gb version can be found on Ebuyer for £14.48 plus postage charges, I paid more for mine but that was over a year ago - probably nearer 2. They are USB 2.0, and have Plug & Play functionality in Windows® Vista, XP, 2000, ME, Linux 2.4 and later, Mac OS 9, X and later. They also come as standard with a 10 year warranty!
The plug and play is as good as they say, mine has been used between many different operating systems (including XP Home, XP Pro, Vista Home, XP 64, Macs and several linux based systems) all without any issues.
I've not particularly tested the water resistant claims - that said it's had plenty spilt on it and hasn't errored in the slightest, it's also been dropped, stood on, carried around by rats, been layed on by a golden retriever and generally not treated all that carefully. No issues at all despite the less than gentle treatment. That's as well as being swung around and such daft things!
Space wise it loses very little of the 8gb due to not being loaded with lots of software, my computer measures it at 7.54GB. Operation is typical of most flash drives - shows up in my computer and you can drag and drop, copy to and from it and delete things.
The version I have also came with a lanyard on a dog-tag type clip, saying Corsair and Flash Voyager - a proper neck strap sized, it measures approximately 84cm/33" so is plenty long enough, it's also around 2cm/.75" wide, and as such doesn't dig in like some cheaper straps.
The only single annoyance I've had with it is the cap - it is in no way nor can it be connected to the body of the thumb drive, which for people as prone to losing things as me is a definite annoyance - I lost mine about a month ago yet again, if it were in some way connected to the body it would fix the only flaw I can possibly find in this.
8GB is obviously considered quite small for a flash drive now, although it covers my needs - however there are larger versions available, up to 64GB, and also mini versions. I never need to use even half of what's there myself anyway!
I've given this 5 stars as it's a great little flash drive, even with the cap issue, it's the only thing I'd consider replacing my current one with. Fantastic in every way, and it's still going very strong.
