Advantages: Cheap to buy, economical to run and creates a gorgeous effect Disadvantages: None...as long as you follow the safety instructions
...If the truth be told, putting lightbulbs in plants isn't something that initially springs to mind. I came across this product when browsing around in B&Q a couple of weeks ago and I thought it looked great on their display. Priced at around £8 I thought "well if I don't like it when I try it at home it won't be an expensive mistake". So I bought it...and am I glad I did.
Personally I think you can make or break a room with lighting. I've never been one for large bright ceiling lights and I tend to go for the low lit romantic and cosy ambience, especially in winter when nights draw in quickly and the weather is miserable outside. There is nothing quite like feeling safe, warm and cosy in your own environment and the correct lighting can help to achieve this warm and comforting glow. God i'm starting to sound a bit sad...but it does...

Advantages: Great value for money, really warm, really comfy Disadvantages: There are none!!
...I finally invested in an Electric Blanket this winter, after getting sick and tired of hot water bottles and their lack of warmth.
When I stay over at my mums house,I have a DREAMLAND electric blanket, which is absolutely lovely, but I know that for a single, its a whole 40.00p and I dreaded to think how much a double would be!
Anyway, when shopping with my Dad at Asda,he picked up a double SilentNight Comfort Control Electric Blanket for 15.00p.
I didnt buy one myself, not because I doubted SilentNights quality, but because I doubted that for that price that it would warm up sufficiently and warm up in a quick enough time.
However I was extremely wrong and due to my pickiness,my Dad spent a night in a toasty bed and I spent one back with my old friend, 'The Hot Water Bottle'!
I didnt go back to Asda, till about a month ago,the reason...

Advantages: Simple , clean and ambient at the touch of a switch Disadvantages: Still needs dusting!!

This was this neat little stove, straight out the box, glowing and flickering with 'optiflame' effect, all for less than 1p per hour. Should you ever need it, there is also a built in convector heater, but the flickering flame and log effect is apparent warmth in its own right.
With some copper trinkets around the fireplace area and the lights dimmed, the warm glow from this unit really contributes to the ambience of the room.
Happily the 'optiflame' effect is virtually silent, smell and smoke free, and best of all does...

I have always used Britax car seats for my children. When my son was 2 year old I decided the previous Britax car seat was looking a bit shabby and torn, so on my friends recommendation I decided upon the Maxi Cosi Priori Toddler Seat.
