Lemsip Max - Good stuff
Advantages: Tastes good, quite cheap, works a treat Disadvantages: none
Lemsip Max Sinus is an absolute Godsend, as far as I'm concerned. I'd been feeling a bit dodgy all week and then towards Christmas Eve it really hit me. I was feeling achy all over with a sore throat and a cough and my sinuses were all blocked. We had the mother in law coming over for Christmas Day so I needed petrol in the car and the wife asked me to put it through the car wash. I went to our local supermarket (Tesco) and did the car thing, then ... ...Not like the usual Lemsip stuff. I took them home and poured a sachet into a mug and stirred. The menthol aroma was fairly pungent but my God it worked on the old sinuses!!!! It cleared them out like you wouldn't believe. I added 3 spoons of sugar as it needed a bit of sweetness. Each satchet has got 1000mg of paracetamol and kids under 12 cant take them (for obvious reasons) but if you are a menthol lover (like me) then I'd recommend these little ...

To Breathe or Not to Breathe
Advantages: Hot drink soothes the throat Disadvantages: Tastes unpleasant, works no better than individual medicines. Relatively expensive
...I had a cold, the Lemsip that happened to be in our kitchen drawer was Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Breathe Easy. Well, this confused me. Even 'normal' Lemsip is for colds and flu, and given that all the Lemsip products have decongestant (in this case 12.2mg of Phenylephrine hydrochloride - the kind you can't make methamphetamine out of) and painkillers (1000mg of paracetamol) in them, I wondered what makes this stuff 'breathe easy'. In addition to the ... ...gives the already bitter tasting Lemsip a sharp tang, as if you're sucking a cough sweet. I had the lemon/menthol flavour. I don't usually mind the flavour of Lemsip (I know many people hate it) - it is artificial tasting, and bitter, due to the natural bitter taste of the medicines (which they try to cover with aspartame and saccharin), but normally, I quite like it, in a sickbed comforting kind of way. However, the addition of the menthol makes ...

Great but not a cure
Advantages: Easy to administer, cures symtopms for a period Disadvantages: Can be expensive, doesn't seem to work for all
With this product you’ve really got to read the box and understand what it does. This is not an antibiotic and so it won't cure your illness, because that not what its designed to do; it is designed to address the symptoms. Now before you think its obviously not worth it then hold on a minute, because relief of symptoms can only be described as a god send. After taking one of these you will feel 100% better within about 15 minutes. It will sort out ... ...totally relieved. So if you've got something to do and you're cold is holding you back, take on of these and within the hour you'll be able to function almost normally without the pains and sore eyes and throat that make operating with a cold so unbearable.
The only down side is that its affects only last between 3 and 4 hours and after this you'll be plunged once again into the uncomfort, so it becomes a cat and mouse game of when is it best to ...

Although you should always read the label on anything like this, or ask a pharmacist, Lemsip is in sachets and all you need to do is boil a kettle and get a mug and empty the sachet into a mug, add the boiling water and stir it until the powder has dissolved fully and then be careful not to burn your mouth or tongue when drinking it but do drink it whilst ...

Light Lemon Relief!
Advantages: Contains Aspirin and Paracetamol Disadvantages: Expensive
...I found a packet of Lemsip Max Strength Lemon Drink. I checked the use by date which was June 2007 and put on the kettle thankful that good old Lemsip always has a nice long use by date.
What does It Look Like?
The Lemsip is packaged in a cardboard box which is predominantly red and green in colour. On the front of the packet it says "Lemsip Max" in large letters, the "Lemsip being in yellow lettering and the "Max" in red, this is on a dark green ... ...is also worth mentioning that Lemsip Max comes in capsules as well as this powder and the packaging for the capsules is quite similar so be careful not to pick up the wrong thing as I have done before.
Inside the box you find 10 individual sachets of Lemsip Max Strength Powder. Each sachet is one dosage, the Lemsip drink is so easy to make up it is basically a case of tipping the contents of this sachet , which is a fine white powder, into a mug ...
