Condition Zero....in my own words id say and expanded and updated version of counterstrike with many similarities and a few major differences.
Available to play through steam(everyones worst nightmare),an offline mode and the choice to play against some quite competent bots. On the offline (1 player mode) you are pushed through 18 different levels each one gaining in difficulty as you progress. And i can say myself that the few end missions are VERY difficult and even some of you "pro" counterstrike players may struggle(well maybe a not). You are allocated a certain amount of points before missions and these points are used to choose the team who will be backing you up, there are ratings from 1-4, one being poor four being pretty damn decent.
Anyway back to the online gaming, as previouslt mentioned you have to play through a program called Steam, which to the expierenced play will mean something but to those who have not heard of it check the site out at www.steampowered.com .
With the recent release of Counterstrike:source you may be thinking that not many people will be playing condition zero online anymore, well thats wrong they are two totally different games and alot of people stay play, some for fun some competitvly. Check out the site www.enemydown.com, which is offering leagues for such games such as condition zero where you and your friends can start up "clans" and try work your way up the ladder ,maybe to the top, making the game alot more exciting.
A bit more about the game:
-Has inbuilt voice chat software (so you can talk through Microphones to each other) -Ability to change the skill level of Bots(bad aim good aim etc, even what guns they can and cant use) -Realistic when it coems to weapons and equipment(bigger heavy guns slow you down etc) -Would reccomend a high speed internet connection if you intend to play online....
Overall a good game with nice graphics and a few new additions from counterstrike......a great buy for anyone who enjoys the half life series.
