MANN Countrywide (part of Countrywide Assured)

Advantages: Erm... they didn't smell too bad
Disadvantages: Takes advantage of the first time buyer! never calls - see below for rest of story...

emotions to get a quick sale. Lee also managed to sell us "Countrywide Assured" buildings and contents insurance, even though the buildings insurance is included in the maintanence charges for the flat - we've only just found out, 2 years later - all that money wasted :`( And they never phone when they say they will - ever! I'll never again use them to buy or sell a property, and advise all first time buyers to take someone who has been through this process before when viewing properties/speaking to estate agents etc... and if they are told something which seems too good to be true, like wooden flooring, ask for it in writing!!! MANN COUNTRYWIDE ESTATE AGENTS

Advantages: THERE ARE NONE
Disadvantages: POOR SERVICE HIGH PRICES

Mann Countrywide offer a poor over-priced service to vendors they never return phone calls - do not give feedback from viewers or update you on what they are doing to sell your home! all in all they are lazy and seem to do as little as possible to sell your property! Do your homework before you sell with an agent listen to what others have to say about them - word of mouth is very good advertising.... at one point our house was advertised at the lower and original price ...

Pays to shop around

Advantages: Uses your post code to determine cover
Disadvantages: The calculation for insuring cover

I joined Countrywide Assured Insurance Services back in July 1999. At the time I was a first time buyer and was looking for a competitive home contents rate to cover me for the first year. I had never heard of countrywide Assured but chose them because I had arranged my mortgage through one of their independent mortgage representatives and wanted something less complicated while I sorted myself out. Their home contents insurance is arranged by Guardian Insurance and is designed for people looking for contents cover at a competitive price, which was just what I needed. In order to get cover from Countrywide Assured you have to qualify all 6 requirements. These are: You require contents cover only for your home Your postcode area is where minimum security is required The home is self-contained The home is not lent, or sublet ...
