99% of solicitors give the rest a bad name. CWPL however are in a league of their own for bad service and appauling customer relations. You are just a case number and personally matter nothing to them. The term 'valued client' is not in their heavily scripted call centre manual. Appoint CWPL if you really are in no hurry at all to complete a house sale or purchase and don't mind doing most of the work for searches and chasing up all the information yourself. Be lied to, patronised and never to be able to speak to the same person twice when phoning them to progress your house move. The 'qualified' person dealing with your case will probably change two or three times a day as they appear to work a continental shift patern potentially only contactable between 10.00am till 2.00pm with an hour for lunch. The legal team are also heavily protected by an impenetrable army of anonymous sacrificial Progress Prevention Officers in a remote call call centre, who are patronisingly happy to fully agree with you that their service is completely unacceptable when you rant at them daily about the total, inexcusable poor service that you are receiving and their complete lack of urgency. CWPL will take at least 3 days to look at anything sent to them at all, then up to ten days to respond if you are lucky, (one subject / query at a time usually). They never follow anything up, read or chase missing information. They're happy to just sit there doing nothing on your account until someone screams repeatedly at them to please process it.. That usually has to be your estate agent - they seem to only respond to them in anything like a positive way. The final straw was repeatedly being told that they are far too busy to deal with our conveyance today as they have more pressing priorities and to please try calling them again, maybe sometime tomorrow afternoon, when they will try to get someone in the legal dept to look at it. This was two weeks after we should have actually moved house, but hadn't even managed to exchange contracts. It constantly feels like you're dealing with an organisation who had never done this type of work before and are operating form a scripted manual at random and constantly getting stuck on various minor issues that just stalls them into a coma like state for days on end. Each time you call and speak to yet another new 'numpty' it starts all over again with the same, often irelavant issues that you thought had been 'closed out' weeks before - but no! They keep recycling the same queries over and over to drag things out just a bit longer and buy themselves a little bit more time. They make an already stressful time of house moving almost unbearable with their condecending attitude and complete lack of concern that you have a life and don't want to send weeks of it in limbo feeling completely hopeless.
