Out of all the furniture stores around at the moment, courts appeals to me most because of its contemporary designs. I find that other furniture stores do tend to make furniture that would look great in your grans house but not for me.
Courts stock a wide selection of furniture with the following being a selection:
They also have, in most stores, a showroom full of accesories and nic-nacs to finish off your home and make it look like a masterpiece. In here you will find everything from bubble lamps to candle holders and picture frames to mirrors. This is my favourite part of the store and i have never quite managed to leave without buying anything! The layout of the store is very well thought out and everything is alwyas clean, tidy and well presented.
My whole house is designed with beech and chrome in mind and courts stock a huge selection in this range. Everything from dining tables to bookcases and display cabinets to t.v units. All are extremely well-made and look great in any home. Whilst the designs are contemporary they also have more than a hint of the 70's style in them which really appeals to a lot of people at the moment.
Courts furniture is all reasonably priced and depending on which time of year you go there, they can have some excellent offers on where a lot of items are reduced below half-price. Even the items which are not reduced this low still have a considerable saving to be made.
Their electrical section is quite varied and they have all the latest technology in televisions, hi-fis and camcorders etc. I have found that they are not the most competativly priced store when it comes to electrical products, but once again depending on what sale they have on you can sometimes pick up a really good bargain.
They also have a carpet section which boasts many different styles and textures and will probably have the right carpet for anyone. Again, this department isn't that competative with a lot of other carpet stores but sometimes they offer free fitting and underlay when you buy your carpet from them.
The salesmen/women are always helpful (if a little pushy) and there will always be one or two lurking around somewhere near by if you have any questions. They are willing to bend over backwards to meet your needs and are very customer orientated. The also know a lot about the products that they sell which is always a plus point as a lot of other stores' staff that i have been served by haven't got the faintest idea about the stuff they are flogging.
You can choose to have interest free credit on certain items around the store if you can't afford to buy the furniture outright. The products which theis option is available on will have advertising on them so you clearly know which ones do and which don't.
Delivery times are usually quite quick and they charge only £20.00 regardless of the size of your order, even if they have to deliver all the items seperatly on different occasions you will only ever be chrged once. All items that i have had have been handled with care and there has never been a fault with them.
I have spent mega bucks in Courts so they are obviously doing something right as i am usually quite a hard person to please. Although they are not the cheapest store on a lot of items, you can always be assured of quality, modern-design furniture and accesories and i fully recommend the store next time you're looking for your next sideboard!
Advantages: out of town, convenient parking Disadvantages: their "interest free" offer; their store card
...4 years ago this Christmas, Courts opened one of their stores at a convenient retail park on the outskirts of the city centre.
Good timing - we had a house to furnish, they had all kinds of items at reasonable prices in their opening sale.
So, we paid them a visit. All was well. We applied for and were granted a store card to the tune of £2000 and began shopping. Our first experience of the shop was a positive one. The showroom was nicely laid ... ...stairs and landing. Courts had a good range of carpets all at varying prices and at the time also offered free fitting, which we found very useful. It was much easier to budget for the carpet without adding on any extra costs. We found the man who specialised in the carpet department who arranged for someone to come and measure up. They arrived at the correct time and were again very efficient. Within a few weeks our new carpet was laid, with free ...

SO BEWARE OF COURTS COS THEY WILL TRY TO CATCH YOU OUT
Recently there has been an advert on tv for a glass table and 4 chairs reduced from £799 to £249 which seems like a very good bargain.
My boyfriend has recently moved into his first ever house and was looking for some new furniture to fill it and he asked me to go out with him for the day and look at some stuff with him.
We decided to visit courts one day and he saw this table he was ... ...shopped beofore in a different Courts store and felt that they paid too much for their furniture and were not happy with the service they received either, so have never been there again.
They have been happy with Argos and DFS and I must say I have ordered a few bits from Argos this year and I have been happy with what I have received and the price I paid for it.
That advert, I believe was to attract people into the store in the hope they would ...

...and bought a suite from Courts in black leather. After waiting from october to december to wait for the suite to be delivered it eventually turned up, and, because it had no protective packaging on it, the rather inept delivery men tore a corner of the settee whilst shoving it through the front door.
My Father in Law then had a protracted battle to get the whole suite replaced (mainly due to variations in leather shades between jobs). He finally ... ...writing letters to Courts - both the local store down Clough Road in Hull, and the head office in Surrey.
Anyway, we decided that we wanted the same suite (Sad I know) and placed our order. Whilst in the showroom the salesman informed us that they had increased the amount of padding in the seats of the suite we wanted and that we would be receiving a more padded version than the showroom model. It appeared that our luck was better. We ordered in ...

Advantages: Good prices although I can find cheaper Disadvantages: Pressure salespeople, 10% cancellation fee if you don't want your goods, pressure salespeople

Courts have agreed to waive the charges but there was no mention of an apology in their letter so they will carry on receiving complaints and negative comments from me!! Since I wrote the op below I have spoken to a lady at customer services. She was so rude and defended the actions of the salesman who misled me. Until I receive at least an apology I shall continue to defame the Courts brand.

The prices were pretty good and I found them to be generally cheaper than a lot of other furniture shops. I realised I could have bought cheaper after I had purchased the items but the hassle of returning the goods, getting refunds, etc wasn't worth the small savings.
So far so good. I was happy with the items I had bought and was looking forward to delivery ...

Advantages: Value for money (I think) Disadvantages: Poor adverising campaign
...or do the advertisers for Courts have such a low opinion of the intelligence of the buying public? What am I talking about? The advertising campaign over the 2000 Christmas period, boy they have stooped to an all time low. Advantages: none Disadvantages: you can be victim by security
It's nice shopping centre. i'm always being a fan of westfield shopping centres.
But Castle court belfast shopping centre security is rude, races and no manners to talk with public especially the head of security. He believes that he's GOD or something that he can do anything. Which is a big set back for me. I would not recommend anyone to go their. When security is races then what protection will you get from them.
No doubt they have good shop in there but these same shopping are outside castle court too.
Parking is damn expensive as compare to other car park around belfast.
Still willing to go castle court then good luck to you and have fun in castle court with mannerless administration ...
Advantages: Quality clothes which endure wash after wash Disadvantages: Clothes may seem expensive to some
Up until recently l had not really bothered about Gap - l simply used the store in Belfast as a short cut into the CastleCourtshopping centre. One-day l decided ld stop and take a look.
The Belfast Store is extremely busy and crams a lot into a small space - women’s wear, men’s wear and junior sizes. A separate store exists for babies and toddlers. (I must emphasis that this is only the case in the Belfast Store - other stores have everything under one roof)
Clothes may seem expensive but l do not mind paying that little bit extra when it comes to quality. I find Gap clothes to have that edge over others. They wash well, keep their shape and endure well!
The style (for women anyway!) is mostly casual - with their hooded sweatshirts, jeans, tee shirts and baseball caps. I bought a pair of Gap jeans on Friday ...

Advantages: Modern, lots of shops, food court Disadvantages: Gets very busy
West Quay is a huge, and I mean huge shopping centre in Southampton City Centre.
It is a fairly new centre so the design is modern and spacious, but at busy times this is a problem. Because the distance between shops opposite each other is quite a long way, when the centre is really busy it is almost impossible to get from one side to the other. This as I have said is only a problem at busy times, during the week it is absolutely fine.
It consists of 3 floors, 2 floors of shops and a food court on the top floor. The shops are pretty much what you see in every shopping centre, City or Town, but it is so much easier here as they are all together. No need to go walking up and down high streets to find the shop you want. This is epscially helpful when the weather is bad. Some of the shops include; John Lewis, Clinton Cards, Game, Schuh ...
