Its high resolution 4 inch screen is fantastic. a lot of people might think that only 4 inches is just too small however after a few minutes of watching a film or program on this and you just totally forget about the screen size and get fully involved in what your watching. Its high definition screen means you can watch high definition videos up to 1,280 x 720 without having to first change them to a lower resolution so that they will play. It has great black levels, and is clear and sharp too. Apples ipod just simply cant compete with the image quality of this screen, neither can creative players and this is even better than most of archos players out there.
This player can do so much things too, its not only a video player, but it can also record video from your tv as well by plugging It in via all the wires that comes with it. Above that it can also handle the widest range of video formats iv ever seen in a portale media player it can play AVI, DivX, XviD, MP4, ASF, MKV, VOB, OGM, WMV 7, H.264, MPEG, DAT, and MTV.
Its also a great mp3 player too, surporting MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG Vorbis, OGG FLAC, Apple Lossless, AAC/AAC+, AC3, True Audio, Monkey's Audio, MusePack, WavPack, G.726, and PCM audio formats. As well as this you can also record audio via the built in microphone and you can even listen to the built in radio this portable media player has, this is a great feature to have and one that a lot of mp3 players just don’t have built into them, but I think they all should. It also has an option to view photos and even an option that lets you look at documents which is also something iv not seen in a portable media player before
Altogether this is a great portable media player, it looks fantastic and it can do so many things, and it does everything to the greatest of quality as well.
Advantages: Fantastic quality on video, audio, photos and text. Loads of extras built in Disadvantages: Could have a larger hard drive but i'm just being picky!
Why didn't I get an iPod like everyone else? Why not an Archos? I guess I just wanted to be different like always. I wanted to buy a brand of PMP (Portable Media Player) that no one has heard of and yeah, take a gamble.

I got my CowonA2 (30Gb) in February last year and am still a firm believer that this product is just as good, if not better, than an iPod. It has so many features it is astounding! I'll run through all these (or as many that i can remember) later on.
Let me first introduce the makers of this fantastic method of watching video on-the-go. Korean company Cowon are also the producers of the iAudio range. These MP3 players are said to be of the very highest sound quality and that this was also carried on onto the CowonA2. I must admit, the sound quality of the CowonA2 is brilliant. Very clear ...
