Of course no one can wait to try our bar of cheesy gold, and so we have some delightful sandwiches. The bread and spread cannot be forgotten here, they served faultlessly, but they are but bit-parts here and must wait to star in their own review if they want the spotlight.
... ...brought to our household by the sandwiches. I could tell you that they melted most instinctively in my mouth, that the balance was perfect, that the cheese dominated just enough to be fully appreciated, but not so much as to be overwhelming. I could wax lyrical on the joys of butter substitute spread paired with this cheese and enveleoped in the loving embrace of white bread. Of course I shall do no such thing. It would be absurd and horrifically ...

Kraft Cracker Barrel
Ok, I admit it, the primary reason this is one of my favourite cheddar cheeses has absolutely nothing to do with taste. Its because I’m lazy, and cracker barrel is the perfect cheese for cracker eaters. Its already downsized for you so all you need to do is slice a bit off, and you have your perfect cracker topping. (If they would invent a cylinder shaped cheddar for oatcakes I would be really happy).
This is ideal cheese ... ...have been in the fridge. Cracker Barrel is an ideal solution for drunken cheese-eaters. It has almost no smell. Compared to your average blue cheese night, your living room will be fresh as a daisy in the morning. Cracker Barrel is selected from the Davidstow creamery located in the heart of the West Country, the home of generations of cheesemakers. (Think Cheddar Gorge.) Typically it is matured for 8 months, meaning it is fairly grown up and has ...

Advantages: Pleasant medium cheddar Disadvantages: Difficult to open
...an old brand known as Cracker Barrel. Now I thought this was extinct but there it was and looked the same as it did when I last saw it in the 70's.
*** THE PACKAGE ***
It has a distinctive red wrapping with white writing. It states that it is Medium Mature English cheddar. The Kraft logo is prominent at the top. What makes Cracker Barrel different to other brands is the shape. It is in the shape of a rectangle 104cm x 40cm x 30cm. They inform us that it has been matured for 8 months and has been individually hand selected. I always have problems opening packaging but this one seemed more stubborn than normal. I had to use a pair of scissors to get it open.
The bottom of the pack has the nutritional information..

Advantages: Strong and creamy. Fits nicely on a cracker. Disadvantages: High fat and calorie content
...to be mature cheddar. Kraft's Cracker Barrel is an excellent example of this delicious cheese and its shape is so convenient.
Cracker Barrel comes "cracker-shaped". No not a Christmas cracker, a cheese cracker! A slice fits neatly onto a cheese cracker with its dimensions of 40cm x 30cms. It is 104 cms in length, which gives a lot of slices. There are 200g in each pack. Cracker Barrel can easily be spotted in amongst the cheese by its red packaging. ... ...taste.
Like most cheeses, Cracker Barrel does have quite a high fat content 21.5g per 100g of cheese. It has a calorific value of 415kcal per 100g of cheese so is probably not really suitable for someone on a diet. Cracker Barrel is on offer at Asda at the moment as a buy one get one free. So at £1.98 for 400g of delicious creamy cheese, you can't go wrong. ...

Advantages: Good cheese Disadvantages: Fairly expensive.
I have never tried this cheese before, and only did so because it happened to be in the reduced section (it’s sell by date being close - Yes, I’m a cheapskate and proud of it!) As I’m quite a cheese fan, and a cheddar fan in particular – why not? Well, I’m not a great fan of giant food companies, and Kraft seem to be that to me (right or wrong), as they always seem to reduce everything to the lowest common denominator. I also find the little foil ... ...name. So that’s pretty comprehensive. However all these “principles” disappear when presented with a bargain! How much should it have cost? £1.88 for 200 grams – i.e. £9.40 per kg. Fairly expensive as cheese goes but not that expensive. In fact I would have expected more given the packaging.
Reading the package I note that it is sourced from the Davidstow creamery in Cornwall, which made me a bit more interested, since they produce some excellent ...

I read this book over the course of 1.5 hours on a Saturday morning after people at work who had been on a specific training programme recommended it. My job has a lot to do more
