Do Crafts Creativity!- great inspiration
Advantages: full of ideas, great price, complete instructions Disadvantages: none i can think of
...of the package was a do crafts Creativity! magazine.
I love looking in magazines, and the freebies always help. This magazine (issue 7) came with some stickers linked to the theme of the issue and were so useful. The magazine itself was packed full of ideas for cards and scrapbooking, and a few other items such as jewellery. Although I only make cards, it is full of inspiration for ideas on things that go well together and how to use different techniques. ... ...projects inside, and the bigger, more complex, cards and projects include a list of items needed.
The magazine seems to be theme based, and is set out really well with a few ideas for each theme. It has reviews on products, and lists stockists for all the items they used to produce the cards. It has competitions to win crafty goodies (always a bonus), very minimal advertising and a section of readers letters where you can see the creations of other ...

Crafting Heaven!
Advantages: Craft projects with clear instructions, supplier directory by area, value for money Disadvantages: Too many adverts to cope with!
...of these little extras was Crafts Beautiful, "Britain's best-selling craft magazine". I usually begrudge paying over a couple of pounds for a magazine, but in this case every penny of the £3.25 was worth spending.
I have been making cards for about 2 years now; nothing special, just the odd birthday card, new baby greeting, and all of my Christmas cards. Initially, I thought it would be an enjoyable hobby and probably a little cheaper than buying ... ...on sale in Tesco's, but Crafts Beautiful really stood out and this particular issue (Vol.12 Issue 9) came with a free book containing 150 verses and sentiments for use within handmade cards and gifts.
The Magazine:
This publication is of an extremely high quality and is of the glossy variety such as House Beautiful, You and Your Wedding, Which Car?, etc. Each issue clearly displays one of the projects within on the front cover, plus ...

Papercraft inspirations - worth a look.
Advantages: good ideas, usable free gifts Disadvantages: ideas not always broken down into steps, some abstract themes.
Papercraft inspirations is a magazine based on paper crafts, mainly card making with the occasional part relating to other things like tags and scrap booking.
This magazine is monthly and costs £3.65 and as long as I've been buying it, has always come with a free gift of some sort. It has varied between embellishments, ribbon, stickers, papers and ideas booklets.
The magazine is always filled with plenty of inspiration for cards on a variety of ... ...ideas for Art Deco styles using glass painting techniques, butterfly cards, cards for dads (and men), flower based designs, birthday cards, good luck, new baby, retirement and peel off cards.
The magazine also always includes a section on what is new, with a focus on new products and embellishment ranges, competitions and give-aways to add to your stash of crafting goodies, a directory of stockists, letters and cards from readers and a section where ...
