Advantages: great graphics; generally easy gameplay Disadvantages: some elements of the game seem to be too complicated
...always been a fan of Crash and played most, if not all, of the previous games in this series ( mainly on PS2). When I heard about the release of this game on Xbox 360, I was very excited and purchased it as soon as it went on sale. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a 24hr gamer, I'm the kind of person who plays a game for a couple of days then gets caught up in real life things and abandons it for weeks (sometimes months).
==Initial Thoughts== ...this;
Cortex (the normal Crash bad guy) has developed some way of mutating his minions and making them into beasts (Titans) which are very fast and very powerful. He arrives at Wumpa Island (where the game is set) and kidnaps Crash's sister Coco. Now I understood, I got straight into the game and was pleased with its similarity to previous games and also impressed with the graphics which in places were much improved.

Initial Thoughts
I didn't really understand the title, I hadn't looked it up as I knew I would enjoy the game anyway from past experience. When I got the game I still didn't really understand it but the premiss is this; Cortex (the normal Crash bad guy) has developed some way of mutating his minions and making them into beasts (Titans) which are very fast and very powerful. He arrives at Wumpa Island (where the game is set) and kidnaps Crash's sister Coco. Now I understood, I got straight into the game and was pleased with its similarity to previous games and also impressed with the graphics which in places were much improved.
Game Play
Basically throughout the game you go around collecting little blue orbs (mojo), the more you collect the greater your life bar becomes and also the longer you can maintain certain tricks (like surfing) and special attacks. You earn a free life for every 25,000 mojo you collect. As you go along you have to kill minions, there is a target amount and if you kill enough for the level you get the acreditation of 'minion master'. You also get acreditation for how many direct hits (on as many minons/ creatures as you can) you can get in one go. If you hit the target you pass the combat hit combo. Every so often you come across the mutated minions, the idea here is to attack them until you can jack (take over) them. Once you have hit them enough times the B button apears over their head and if you press it whilst near them you jump onto their back and they are now under your control. Once you have jacked a Titan you can use them to defeat other Titans; breakdown walls or infact you them as a stepping stone to jacking a bigger more powerful Titan. There are awards given for the number of a certain Titan you have jacked ( over the whole game). Basically you go through each level defeating minions big and small and collecting as many orbs as possible and then move onto the next level. Each time getting closer to Nortex himself.
End of each Level
You are scored at the endof each level, bronze, silver or gold. This is dependent on how many of the folowing three things you have achieved. 1.Become a minion master (above) 2.Scored a miniumum combat hit combo (above) 3.Finally, whether you have destroyed all three of Cortex's spy toilets (which are dotted around the levels).
Bonus Level
In each level there is an area of green smoke, if you walk near it the B button appears. When pressed the B button transports you to the bonus level. All the bonus levels are about collecting a certain amount of something or Jacking/destroying a number of Titans/ boxes. There is a time limit, if you pass you collect the Voodoo doll which appears and jump back through the smoke. If you fail you have to jump out and back into the room to try again.
Awards
Everything you earn (above) or collect (voodoo dolls around the levels), are kept in the menu screen. Each of them are represented by their own voodoo doll and when inbetween levels you can look at or utilise these awards. They range from artwork to minion costumes which crash can put on and give him extra strength against normal minions.
Overall
If you are a fan of Crash you will be a fan of this game no doubt. If you have never come across Crash this game will definately entice you in. I usually play the game on NORMAL difficulty in parts this can be very easy but when jacking some of the harder creatures I find it very complicated, and it usually takes a few goes.
