shhh ... don't tell the bees!
Advantages: non-greasy, smell nice, does the job Disadvantages: bit pricey
...ages before coming across the Burt's Bee stand. I have always liked the lip balm a hand lotion so I knew the Mama Bee range wouldn't disappoint. I looked first at the gift sets but wasn't too pleased with the variety in them so I instead bought a few bits and made a set of my own. I ended up buying myself a tub of the belly butter as well as I was one month from my sons due date. An expensive gift in the end. The lotion itself is made with cocoa ... ...it. By offering natural products Burt's Bees hopes to give the buyer the opportunity to buy goods that are both good for them and the environment. A big mission for what started as a small beeswax candle company in 1984. To use this lotion take a fingertip sized amount and smear over tummy, thighs or wherever you feel the need and massage in gently. The lotion is relatively thick and non-greasy. Thankfully it rubs in very well and that means I don't ...

Natural Beauty by Burt
Advantages: natural ingredients; nice scent Disadvantages: takes some time for skin to absorb
I got hooked on Burt's Bees products many years ago, after I learned about some of the harsh chemicals used in other beauty products. Burt's Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream uses mostly natural ingredients (98%), including rosewater, sunflower and sesame seed oils, and beeswax. I find the scent to be quite pleasant, but in a very earthy, natural way. This product line may not appeal to persons who prefer to wear very refined and subtle perfumes--Burt's ... ...texture is fairly heavy. For this reason I normally apply the Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream in the evening before I go to bed so it can take effect while I sleep and then after a morning shower the scent doesn't linger. My skin always feels refreshed and rejuvenated after using this cream. I would recommend this product for women of all ages, especially for those who enjoy gardening and other outdoor activities and who appreciate using a product ...

Burt's Bees Amazing Hand Salve
Advantages: Lovely smell, Super nourishing, cute tin, fab company Disadvantages: zero!
Burt's Bees hand salve is a god-send in a little tin. Not only can it be used for hands that need a little bit of TLC, but for all other areas of dry skin you may have. The product is packed full of natural and high quality ingredients including almond oil, olive oil, beeswax and vitamin E Oil. All which help nourish and moisturise damaged or cracked skin. You can really feel it sinking into to any problem areas. I even use it as a lip balm when ... ...instantly. It has the same consistency as solid perfume which is great as it lasts for ages. The smell is lovely and natural, you can definitely smell the rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus oils coming through. I received my hand salve in a travel kit which contained several products. You can buy it on it's own for around £6 which is very reasonable for a multi-purpose product that you will wander how you ever lived without it! ...

Burts Bees cuticle cream
Advantages: can go on elbows knees and lips Disadvantages: not so great on the cuticles
To be honest the only reason I am rating this satisfactory is because i have started to use this on my elbows and lips which i have found out does a better job than on the cuticals.
I bought this off ebay and was really excited to get it as I have tried berts lip products and have bought them ever since and sworn by them.
You are meant to put this on your cuticles and nails and leave on overnight with a pair of special gloves, I seen no difference ... ...still no difference.
I then tried it on my dry knees, elbows and lips and found it a life saver, its fantastic on them so i would buy this for that purpose only, you only need a small amount, does a better job than the lip balm but i still love the lip balm.
The smell is lovely if you like the lemon smell and its also used by berts bees which is the most important part from me. it comes in a tin the same kinda tin the lip balm comes in which is ...

Soft, Supple, Stinky hands!
Advantages: hands look and feel great Disadvantages: I hated the almond smell
...containing lots of travel size Burt's Bees products, as it was a brand I had wanted to try for ages, and I thought it would be a good way to get a feel of the range. One of the products in the kit, was their Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Crème. This product comes in a round glass jar with a cream/off-white screw top lid which (bizarrely) features a picture of a cow! I guess it's something to do with the fact it contains milk or a milk enzyme to be exact ... ...One thing I like about Burt's Bees products, is that they are made with mostly natural ingredients, and most of the products display what percentage of them is natural on the packaging. This particular one is 98% natural. I won't bore you with a full ingredients list (but if you're really interested you can find it on the Burt's Bees website), I will however give a quick rundown of the main ingredients and what their benefits are on the skin….
