OW!!
Review of The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector by BananaNoodle

Advantages: It does moisturise pretty well
Disadvantages: Redness, pain, raised bumps on my skin!

...when I saw this in the Body Shop it looked ideal. It said it was for 'very dry' skin, so I was hopeful it would help. The product came in a metallic tube with a screw top on it. I was unsure how much to apply so started off with a small amount. As I rubbed it in it felt a bit painful but I guessed that was to do with the fact my hands were so very dry. After I'd finished rubbing it in (which I found took a while even though I didn't think I'd used ...
...And red. And then the bobbles came. Strange little bobbles on my skin like big goosebumps. I've never had such a reaction to a product before so was highly alarmed by this. My mum told me not to wash it off - maybe it was just because it was helping my skin (strange logic of my mums - if it hurts it must be helping). After about 15 minutes my skin stopped burning and the bumps had subsided. They were still a bit red but they did feel moisturised. ... Read review

I'm a soft touch, well now I am.
Review of The Body Shop Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue by nursie_nursie

Advantages: Soft smooth hands, smells nice, rich and effective.
Disadvantages: The price tag.

...Oil Hand Rescue Treatment from The Body Shop. Oh and yes you did read right, stocking filler. My future in-laws bought me a little stocking that they put a few bits in for me, how sweet! I am relatively new to hand cream but as the years roll on it becomes more and more necessary for me to use it. Up until now I have only used it sporadically when my hands were desperate. As I get closer to thirty I am finding it less of a rescue product and more ...
...end up regretting it in the long run. I have one or two areas where I suffer from eczema, one of these is a small patch at the base of my thumb on my right hand. Every so often it can get very dry and sore, other times it hardly even notices. You may wonder why I am telling you but I thought that anyone else that suffers from eczema may find it useful to know from this point of view but also the rest of my hands are normal so I can give you two ... Mini gets her legs out...
Review of The Body Shop Cocoa Butter Hand Lotion by miniloopie

Advantages: Really nourishing, works well, smells great
Disadvantages: Bit thick and gooey, takes a while to soak in

...problem is more prevalent in the winter (although living in Wales it is perfectly possible in the summer too) particularly with central heating blasting out... Anyway, the end result is that my poor leggies are red and sore and at their worst they have a burning sensation. Apparantly this is an allergic reaction... I ask you, allergic to the cold, what next? Which brings me handily to the subject of this particular op... Body Shop Cocoa Butter. ...
...rich enough to actually do the job of sorting my poor skin out. **THE PACKAGING** I usually buy mine in the 250ml size bottle but there are various sizes available including a handy travel size. The bottles themselves are simple in design, short fat plastic cynlindars with a black screw top, nothing fancy there... they are see through so you can see how much there is left and they have the traditional Body Shop logo and the name of the product ... another fab body shop product
Review of The Body Shop Almond Oil Nail and Cuticle Balm by kerri1976

Advantages: does the job
Disadvantages: quite greasy

The Body Shop Almond Oil nail and cuticle balm compliments the rest of their hand care range such as the intensive hand treatment. It is quite a greasy product so you need to use very little of it, but it does leave your nails with a great shine and at is excellent for softening cuticles. A great smelling product at first, however i have to say that after about 6 months of first using a new pot when i went to use it I found that it had lost its ... Read review

for hands that do dishes!
Review of The Body Shop Protective Hand Treatment with Kinetin by elegantlywasted

Advantages: easily absorbed
Disadvantages: packaging

...I have been searching for the perfect hand cream, I have tried many different brands and seem to have bought the whole range at Boots. Anyway my hands always seem to be dry no matter what, this is due to the fact that I spend a lot of time with horses and do not have a dishwasher. I initially bought this product on a 3 for 2 offer but did go back for a second go. I found it a little expensive for the size of the bottle. However it is one of the better ...
...dry skin" hand creams. The smell is unusual, not unpleasant but could be better, it is more of a natural smell than the normal Body Shop fruity fragrances. My hands do feel better over time. The most annoying thing about this product is the bottle, it is easy to apply but when I got to the end there seemed to be loads left but it just wouldn't come out! A bit of a waste really. To sum up a good product let down by the packaging - don't think I have ... Read review
