The top has a handle which makes for very easy carrying and the front has a clasp fastening. There are 2 layers inside the box: The top layer isn't very deep and has three sections to it, whilst the bottom layer is deep and without sections / compartments. §§§ Contents §§§ This really is jam-packed full of crafty little bits and bobs: ~ approx 50 coloured craft straws (large and small) ~ 5 coloured feathers ~ 20+ pom poms, large, medium and small in assorted colours ~ approx 30 coloured beads ~ 6 large pipe-cleaners ~ 25 lolly sticks in assorted colours ~ foam stencils ~ metallic string, neon laces and embroidery thread... ...I bought this for my youngest son when he was two years old because he liked puzzles but was too young to do a actual jigsaw. The teddy jigsaw comes in a small wooden box with a small lid that slides on the top of the box. On top of the lid there is a teddy bear shape where you can place each jigsaw piece. The jigsaw pieces are made out of wood so they dont break that easy when children chew on the pieces and if it is like my son then believe me they will chew on them. There are twelve jigsaw pieces in total which consist of four teddy bear heads,four bodies and four legs and the best part is it does not matter which head you put to which body as all the pieces are the same shape and size so it is really easy for the child to create the teddy. ...The Lego creator box 6161 is a great starter, or continuation box. At the Lego shop http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=6161 this toy costs £9.91. I suspect in the Amazon add they have got the wrong picture and number of the box with the price 19.99 the bigger box number 6166 costs 19.99p, The Lego comes in a sturdy deep rectangular blue box with a lid. I know from experience what an advantage it is to have a good sturdy box to keep Lego in. It keeps all the Lego together in one place. Keeps Lego away tidily. The card boxes break fairly easily. Much easier to have a big tub for your child to put all the Lego pieces in. Remember do encorage your child to pick them all up they are painful to stand on with bare feet.
