Creative EP 550

Advantages: Sound quality at low volumes, length of cable
Disadvantages: Not brilliant sound quality at higher volumes, foam earphone cover can fall off

...These creative headphones came with my Zen V and so far i have not had any major problems with them. Sometimes the sound quality is not as good as i feel it should be. Though on low volumes the sound quality is amazing. I think that the earphones fit nicely in the ear and connection between my Zen is strong. The length of the wire is good, as it allows the earphones to be free and my head is not being dragged to my Zen. My earphones are black and silver and i think they look pretty sleek. I had another pair of these earphones with an older mp3 player and an annoying problem was that the foam covers came off very easily and i had lost them within a couple of months and without these covers the earphones weren't very comfortable.... ...Brilliant earphones, go them off ebay! They go very loud and stay nice and snug in your ear. The earphones are better without the earbuds as the buds muffle the sound more and takes away the trebble, they have a gold plated connector to make it corrosion free. They are a budget item compared to some earphones like the EP-240. They still feature Neodymium drivers in which produce more sound compared to standard iron magnets. the cable to the right earphone stretches further than the left one so this makes the earphones very good for sharing with a friend on a bus or in school or something along them lines. They have a good bass and treble balance and provide good sound quality to use with any MP3 player.... Read review

Advantages: Excellent sound and build quality
Disadvantages: Bit bigger and heavier than an Ipod

...Okay, so it's not an Ipod and it's not the trendy fashion accessory that some people will be looking for but you will struggle to find a better player than this. Size wise it is a bit bigger and heavier than the Ipod but it's not too big to be a problem. The scroller works better than the Ipod wheel though this is just my preference (I also have a ipod mini). The software works well and like most other players the earphones are a bit rubbish but this can be resolved by buying a pair of superb creative ep-630. Comes with a mains adapter which is ideal for going on holiday although the battery life is superb maybe not quite the advertised 24hrs but you don't need to charge it too often (some players don't include this and expect you to shell out more money!)
