...but sometimes the right earphone seems to lose sound.
My first pair lasted about 10 months before this fault occurred and I am now on my 2nd pair. I'm round about the 10 month mark with them and as yet no sign of any problems... so fingers crossed!!
Checking other reviews (on amazon) shows that I am not the only person to have suffered this problem but certainly it doesn't seem to be particularly widespread. Perhaps it was down to a specific batch being faulty but who knows.
On the positive side of things I find these really comfortable to wear, even for longer periods. The soft rubber buds fit right inside the ear but after a few minutes you forget they are there.
They respond well to different types of music, jazz, rock, pop, classical, funk, soul, rap. The sound is well balanced with solid bass that is noticable without overpowering.
The sound isolation is very good - I travel on buses everyday and these earphones block out the engine noise and the sound of others chatting without having to turn your volume way up. Similarly very little sound escapes and so those around you will not be troubled by your particular musical preferences.
One note of caution though is that the isolation is so good that you actually don't hear much else except the music - while, in my opinion, this a good thing, it can take a while to get used to and does make it easier for folk to sneak up behind you undetected!
All in ear style phones have a similar effect so if the thought of being deaf to the world around you concerns you then in-ear earphones probably aren't for you. Otherwise these are a good choice.
I have used similar earphones made by sony - I think the sound and comfort on the creative product is at least as good if not better but they are a bit cheaper.
Overall I would recommend these earphones to everyone but if you are concerned by the amount of sound they shut out, then I would suggest trying a friend's pair (any brand of in ear style phones should give you a decent impression of what it is like).
