Creative HS-400 Headset

Advantages: Easy install, good reception, clear sound
Disadvantages: Hurts your ears after a while, no good for music really

...I find this headset a very good buy, they are not expensive and they are comfortable. My only gripe with these headsets is that the way it fits over your ears can sometimes be painful after an hour or two, if you want to listen to music then you will need some beefier headphones than this. The quality of sound for voice is acceptable and clear, music is not too bad. The microphone is adequate if you set it up right with what ever application you wish to use it with. It has a setting on the wire to mute mic and has a volume control on there too. In my opinion if you want a cheap headset for talking via VIOP like Skype or MSN then this will do fine. ...I bought one of these headsets when it was on offer in PCWorld. I got it for £14.99 and was not really bothered about the sound quality as I was only looking for a cheap heas set to play online games with. I took it home as played a few games with it, the sound quality through teamspeak was very good, and the people on the other end could hear me crystal clear. However, it was not until I was using my PC normally that I found how good the headset actually was, films sounded excellent with explosions being really bassy and music was amazing, the headsets would pick up details that my otherwise excellent Philips speakers would not get unless play really loud.
