Advantages: Attractive, good sound quality, convenient auxiliary input Disadvantages: Struggles with mid-range frequencies at high volumes
Of all the accessories that I have bought for my PC, the I-Trigue 5600s are both the best value for money, and the most aesthetically pleasing. From a visual perspective, the speakers blend in well with most environments, are small enough to be subtle (15cm x 5cm x 10cm), and deliver excellent sound quality. The subwoofer is also attractive, if not a little cumbersome; at 26cm x 22cm x 22cm, it isn't exactly small.
Sporting the much lauded 'titanium driver system', the 5600s deliver a full and rich sound. The bass is strong, but not overly so, and the distinctive satellites deal with high frequencies well. That said, one area the I-Trigue struggles with is mid-range sounds at high volumes, but unless you're planning on using the speakers at over 90% of their rated power output most of the time, this won't pose a problem.
One feature ...
I recently upgraded my whole computer system, upgrading pretty much everything and one thing i had to consider was of course a set of speakers.
After using speakers which were built into the monitor for so long i decided i had had enough, and wanted some stand alone speakers instead. After reading around and doing a bit of research i decided to go for the CreativeI-Trigue 3300. I had heard good reviews of the product, but the main reason why i chose it is that i managed to get myself a pair for £29.99 (brand new!), which is a great deal cheaper than the £40 RRP.
The speaker system comes very nicely packaged, and is very easy to setup and start using. Inside the box there are 3 main parts, the subwoofer itself, the 2 speakers and the remote, as well as numerous wires, manuals and an instruction booklet.
********** Installation ...
Advantages: Good sound quality. Easy to connect. Not a lot of loose wiring. Disadvantages: The remote control is still wired.
listening to music on my PC.
They are called CreativeI-TrigueL3500, and almost give me the same sound quality as if I’d purchased a complete sound surround speaker system.
I say almost, as the I-Trigue isn’t a complete 5.1 speaker system, with 5 separate speakers and a subwoofer, but simply a subwoofer with two separate speakers combining all the other functions of a complete surround sound system.
One advantage of their only being two speakers and a subwoofer is that it is easy to set up, and doesn’t leave you with a whole gaggle of wiring to sort out. The back of my PC already looks a bit like an electricity sub-station, so I really wanted to avoid any more clutter.
The two main speakers are slimline in design and sit comfortably at either side of my monitor.
They have two small speakers on the front, and another ...
