Ever since the dawn of the soundblaster soundcard Creative have been a name we could always trust in the PC sound marketplace, so it was without hesitation that I purchased this speaker package.
The setup comes with two desktop speakers and a floor standing sub-woofer. Installation is a breeze as the sub acts as the central point for the system with power, the connection to your PC and the two desktop speakers all plugging easily into the back. The cables are all of ample length to ensure you can get the speakers positioned just where you want them.
The wires from the desktop speakers down to the sub have a volume control attached and whith the aid of a provided sticky pad you can secure it in a convenient location.
The systems sounds excellent for both gaming and listening to music, there's a separate volume control on the back of the sub so you can modify the level of bass the system booms out. The sub helps to reinforce the sound from the desktop speakers and gives a full, rich sound.
My one annoyance is this, but it may not affect you, often like to use headphones while on the PC as so not to disturb other people. Many speakers provide a headphone socket, alas not this set. So I had to buy a splitter to I could plug both the speakers and headphones into the back of my PC, but then comes the next gripe in that the power switch for the speakers is on the back of the sub, so to switch them off means crawling around on the floor under your desk. You could of course leave them on all the time and use the handy remote volume to turn them to an off level but it just seems like a waste to me.
With a power switch and headphone socket on the remote volume these would have been simply superb.
This is an excellent set of speakers, finished in a stylish black with smart silver logos on the front. If you want a cheap but powerful sound from your PC then these are an easy choice to make.
Advantages: Excelent sound qaulity, head breaking subwoofer Disadvantages: nothing!
...trying to track down the Creative INspire P380 2.1 speakers for the pass three weeks, now i discoverd a better qaulity model at the same price! A couple of months ogo, these speakers i'm reviewing now were 39.99, now 29.99 from Dixons.
Right...
The sound qaulity is extemely good, even though the speakers were very small. The subwoofer is very compact, around 8 inches high, but don't let that put you off. I have my subwoofer level at the minimum, ... ...there is none of it in these speakers. The satilite speakers are 4.5 watts and the sub is powered at 12 watts. I thought... what the heck?...thats low numbers! But don't be fooled my friend, qaulity speaks for itself, obviously this set is made very well. Connections...
The system can be connected with the 3.5 mm jack, thus great for your MP3 player or cd player. In the box, a connector which the 3.5 mm plug fits in to a connecter to convert into ...

Advantages: excellent bass and sound quality Disadvantages: if volume control damages, it will bring the whole speaker system down.
I liked this product. It has excellent sound quality. All my friends has sound system of other companies but they wish, they had bought this sound system. The bass of the buffer is the one hear in discotheques. It has better sound system than other products available in market. The bass and sound quality is awesome.
The major flaw in the design is that the volume control is attached separately with a long wire system. After using for 3 years, volume ...

Advantages: compact Disadvantages: no headphone jack
...I bought a set of these because id not long bought a set of creativeinspire p380 speaker set for my partner for her pc.
I bought them from ebay they were remanufactured, in original box though. cost me £2.20 plus £8.63 postage and packing so not much shy of £11.00.
I will say they are better than the inspire p380 set although they dont look as good to me but the sub is smaller and speakers are smaller so if you need something to fit in a little space these are pretty ideal.
As far as specifications go they have a bit more power and the bass is slightly better on them. i did have an adaptor though which you unplug your speaker jacks and plug it onto there and you can plug headphones into it then, where as the other set didnt have that wire in the package but i expect you can buy one from an electronics shop for a pound or 2...
