An excellent 'USB2 with 1.3meg image and very good video in which it is possible to zoom in and out with the mouse to have face only or including wider background. The sound transmission is enhanced with the use of a dual micropone pickupThis reduces other sounds such as from speakers and although it is provided with a combination headphone/ mic system i have not had the need to use it. Ther is also a lot of additional software on the installation cd which you can opt to install or not but there is a 'fun' distortion program which can provide some amusement when using it to chat with another person I rate the overall performance better than the logitec models i have previously used
