This player is very comapact too. About 70mm x 70mm x 15mm. It weighs very little too, the player itself is light and the replaceable lithium-ion battery is light and thin.
The display is small but manages to display song name, track number, elapsed time and battery life easily. The display is LCD with a blue back light. Navigation through your playlists can be slighlty irritating as you can only see the name of one song/album at a time. However, this is only a minor problem in the long-run as selecting tracks and albums becomes second nature if you regularly use the player to listen to your music.
There are 2 controls on the the MuVo2 - the play/pause (on/off) button and the tilting 4-way menu button. Both buttons are quite small and you may have a problem with the 4-way button because when trying to skip a track you may increse/decrese the volume by accident - can be a little fiddly.
The battery life is around 12 to 14 hours which is better then its rival, the iPod. Charging the battery will take approx an hour.
There are headphone, USB 2.0, and charger connections at the top of the unit.
The MuVo2 plays WMA and MP3. Play/repeat/shuffle modes are available. The volume control goes from 0 - 25, a decent resolution allowing you to have the music at a perfect volume for you. There is a 5-preset equaliser (rock, pop, jazz, etc) and also a custom mode to create your own.

Finally, the best thing about this player is the sound quality - it is second to none. Clear and crisp whilst maintaining quality at high volume levels this player offers the best audio around by far even with the standard earphones. For even better sound quality I recommend a pair of Sony MDREX81 for an even richer sound.
Not a fashion accesory but a fantastic, durable music player.
I've seen the Muvo2 4GB for around £140 which is what i paid last year. I recommend goin for the 5GB option which is CHEAPER - don't ask me why! You would be looking at £120-£130 for this, I have seen it at Pixmania, Dixons and Currys (check websites). Hope this helps!
Advantages: does everything you need a MP3 player to do... play MP3s, extremely cheap nowadays Disadvantages: doesn't come close to some of the MP3 players now, but it's cheap
Creative are now one of the leading MP3 Player brands in the world. I've known a lot of people with Creative MP3 players, and all have been very good with no problems whatsoever.
It was probably 3/4 years ago now I wanted one of these for Christmas when I was about 14/15 years old. At the time, 4gb was pretty big for a MP3 player as they were quite new to the market (most other popular MP3 players at the time were 128, 256, 512 and 1024mb). I wanted ... ...money I was allowed, the Creative Muvo2 4gb just fit into my budget at about £130, which is a hell of a lot of money for a MP3 player of this size (4gb) nowadays as you can get a say, Creative Zen 16gb which also has a colour screen and the capability of video playback for £100...
Even now, I am still extremely happy with my Creative Muvo2, I hardly use it any more, because the only time I can ever really listen to music is when i'm at home, and ...

Advantages: 4GB, good sound quality, great software Disadvantages: Annoying menu system, bad headphones
...First I eyed a Creative Muvo 256MB, then a Mustek PVR-A1 , but then again, 256MB wasn't enough and after advice from another Ciao member I didn't really want the (32MB) PVR-A1.
Suddenly, I spotted this baby, the newer version of Creative Muvo, and a 4gig mini-hard disc capacity, I wasn't complaining. I decided it after a lengthy series of Ciao, Kelkoo and Pricerunner searches, Amazon was the cheapest 'large' company, offering it at £138.99.
~Technical ... ...the software it can't play DRM unless you use the software to de-DRM it.
It seems to only support M3U playlists and also supports downloaded 'Audiofeast' shows. The 4gid capcacity allows plently of music.
~Non-Technical Information~
This MP3 player seems to only support M3U playlists, so you should create these with the free software. (Don't hold me to tihs though). This music player can contain 2100 average WMA(special file format, free converter ...

Advantages: Very small, easy interface, great sound quality Disadvantages: Occassionally crashes, small screen
...i decided to purchase the Creative NOMAD MUVO2. It cost £146 and comes with a 4GB mini hard drive that can store approx 1000 MP3s. Although i made my purchase through ebay you can pick the muvo2 up for anything between £175 - 230 in retail outlets and from the web.
First impressions count for a lot as far as i am concerned and i wasn't dissapointed. The muvo2 is very small (about the size of a pack of 20 cigarettes) so it is easy to carry in your ... ...Well, firstly, its made by Creative who are renound for producing quality audio equipment, secondly, the size and thirdly the price. As with most electrical equipment there are always disadvantages, very rarely can you pruchase something that has it all, and the muvo2 is no exception. In this instance it has to be the size of the display. It is very small to say the least, about an inch and a half in width and half an inch in height. It only displays ...

Advantages: Size, Battery length, Sound quality, Capacity Disadvantages: No case, No playlist on the move
...as the original iPod and Creative Jukebox seemed a far more likely proposition, but I felt that these were to big for audio on the move. The player I wanted had to be small enough so I could take it to the gym, while also able to hold enough music. I whittled my choices down to an iPod Mini and a Creative Muvo 2.
I decided to purchase the Muvo 2 over the iPod on these main points:
1. Availability – I simply could found that the iPod minis were ... ...drives in the middle, as Creative have finally caught onto the fact people were buying these players for micro drives inside them and ripping them out. Apparently to buy a micro drive separately is almost twice the price of a Muvo 2 player! These ‘versions 2’ players, like mine, do not have the case included for cost reasons, they are available on Creative’s site for around £9 including VAT and postage and are an essential purchase. They are smart ...

...priced at around £35 from Creative but you can probably find it for aroung £20 on eBay.
To sum up, the MuVo2 & mini IPOD are pretty much identical except for design. The MuVo2 edges out in front though due to its ability to play more than just MP3s. At the end of the day (dang! what a cliche) these are pretty much the only 2 MP3 players avaliable with a 4GB capacity (which is about right for what you need) so it would totally depend on personal ...
