(+) Av Output to plug to a TV, built-in speakers, easy to use. Come with very good earphones (-) Does not come with power supply (easy to charge from the PC though), av cable is sold separately
Advantages: Versatility, sound quality, ease of song transfer Disadvantages: Ticky-tacky, low quality make
The Creative Muvo V200 is a budget, compact solution for those on-the-move. The built-in flash memory stick fits into the USB port on your computer, with WindowsXP it is recognised immediately; transfer of songs onto the drive could not be easier - just use drag-and-drop as you would when copying files from one drive onto another. The USB connector is very 'floppy' so extra care has to be taken not to damage the stick. The flash memory can also be ... ...documents, videos etc - they just won't be played since the player recognises MP3s and WMAs only.
The player is configurable, it has an enormous amount of options such as the choice of equalizer presets, LCD screen orientation, playlist management etc. Sound quality is just great. Of course, it cannot be compared to a compact disc player and loudspeakers, but as for an MP3 player in this budget group it is absolutely superb; the sound ... more

The USB connector is very 'floppy' so extra care has to be taken not to damage the stick. The flash memory can also be used to store any type of data really: images, word-processed documents, videos etc - they just won't be played since the player recognises MP3s and WMAs only.
The player is configurable, it has an enormous amount of options such as the choice of equalizer presets, LCD screen orientation, playlist management etc. Sound quality is just great. Of course, it cannot be compared to a compact disc player and loudspeakers, but as for an MP3 player in this budget group it is absolutely superb; the sound is crispy, all frequencies play equally loudly therefore the sound is clean. Bass is not ear-blowing but it is good, acceptable.
The biggest disadvantage of the V200 is extreme vulnerability to damage. After a month of use the player is scratched all over, the memory stick slide mechanism is fiddly, also the electronics are not too reliable - the loudness control broke and full volume could not be achieved.
Overall, great sound quality for the budget, on the other hand very poor make. I would recommend customers this one as opposed to other cheap MP3 flash players, but do not expect anything mind blowing from this device.
Advantages: Long battery life, FM radio wth presets Disadvantages: Earphones wire gets tangled easily
My kids complain that I put my music on too often and too loud so I had wanted an mp3 player for a while. Prices were just too high for my pocket though so my kids just had to suffer my taste in music. That is until I saw the CreativeMuVoV200 with 512mb flash memory from Dixons store for £69.99.
The fact that it has flash memory means that the battery (It takes 1 x AAA) lasts longer because it doesn't have anything to spin (like a hard disk one would). The bumf says that the battery life is 15 hours. That's about right, maybe a little more but definitely no less. The fact that it's USB2 means basically that you can drag and drop music onto it and because it's flash memory it doesn't jump if you do.
I have 17 albums stored in .wma format ripped at 64k (CD Quality) which sounds as good as if not better than .mp3 format ...
