If combined with windows media you are able to get the misic to perfection. The program that comes with the Item enables you to clear up the song, stop it jumping and takes all the clicks out. Advantages: smaller size, usb connection support, 3D sound experience, very cheap, high SNR ratio. Disadvantages: Does not support all OS, requires very powerful processor& ram,all features not works on XP
on the data bus speed available for that usb port. In modern days, almost all the PC got USB port 2.0, which enable this sound card to provide the maximum output as in stereo/surroundsound 24 bit/96kHz and also can go along with up to 5.1 speaker system, truly amazing isn?t it? But if the USB is 1.1 then the output sound quality drastically drops to 16 bit/kHz in case of surroundsound.
Creative technology claimed to have SNR 100dB, SNR stands for signal to noise ratio, as the higher the ratio, the less obtrusive the background noise will be and also the clearer output sound will be. So virtually, there will be no noise effect for this sound card. But later it created some controversy, so they changed the theme to SNR ratio is higher than 99db, just to stay on safer side, haha.

I didn't have any real trouble setting everything up although running the wires can be a pain depending on where you put the speakers and what you have in the room. If it were a very large room with lots of corners to go round, you may have to buy yourself extensions. This is especially true with the two rear speakers.
I thought the Front-Right speaker's wire was a bit short so had to keep it close to the subwoofer and computer. I wanted mine slightly further to the right but never mind. To connect up, I just connected the satellites to the subwoofer, and then ...

I was in the hunt for a new sound card and picked up this Soundblaster 'Live' by Creative from PC world for just £35.
The soundblaster Live is powered by the EMU10K1 digital signal processor which means you get very high sound quality without losing any of the power of your PC which other sound cards and onboard sound chips may take away as they require your PC's processor to power the sound, this ofcourse is great news for gamers who need all the spare power they can get in order to obtain maximum framerates.
The Creativesoundblaster Live 5.1 has the ability to connect to dolby digital and multi-channel digital speaker systems and provides an awesome quality of surroundsound in all its glory through 5.1 (providing you have surroundsound speakers ofcourse) so you can experience movies via your PC as tho you were in a cinema ...
