Alright so mine is actually pink. And there is a small chance I bought it because it was pink, so you may want to take what I say with a pinch of salt. I had another MP3 player, that I got a few years ago for £50 with only 56mbs of memory- how things have changed. I liked my old player but the headphones broke- so I got new headphones. Then the new headphones broke, so I bought jazzy new pink headphones (which I did buy because they were pink but thats ok because they were a reputable brand and came in a variety of colours of which I picked pink). Well very happy was I with my new headphones I managed to drop my MP3 player on the floor, and it broke. So I bought the Zen MP3 player from Amazon, because it was quite cheap- £20 ish for 1gb (compared with my old one this seemed like a good deal). It arrived and my first thought was that it was very small, and looked a lot like the iPod nano (which I had thought of buying, but decided against, and if you are thinking of buying one Id say that the zen player is very similar in size, memory size, design, features (as far as I know), and you dont need to get iTunes, or use the iPod headphones which I heard arent very good). It came with headphones but they were white which I thought was a little strange since the player is pink, so I used my pink JVC headphones and they work fine. But I can't judge the performance of the supplied headphones. You are supplied with a CDrom that you use to install Creative- whivh allows you to transfer music from your computer to your new MP3 player. You create folders of music, and the player plays these folders, with a feature to skip to the next folder on the side of the player. It comes with some music already on it, nothing I had heard of and I just put it on my comp to make more room on my player. And youll recieve emails about updates and stuff, that I always ignore but nothing has broken yet so I dont think I need to worry. You charge the battery up using your computer, using the USB cable that is provided. Its very easy and I find it much better than having to keep buying new batteries (better for the environment too). The first time it takes quite a while to charge up properly, after that it depends how much you need to charge up. When the battery is low it will flash red so you know you need to charge it, but every time you put it into your comp (to change music or whatever) it will charge it, and tell you what %it is charged. Its supposed to last about 10hrs so if it is 50% done youll have only 5hrs and so on. However, some people may not like this feature as you have to be within 10hrs of your comp or the battery will run out. If you are going on holiday for example, and your closets computer wont have the Creative program installed. The player itself produces a high quality of sound, with minimum outside noise- but that may be my head phones. It has no LCD screen which is where other players beat it, and it doesnt come with any way to attatch to you but you can buy arm bands and clips for it. You hold down the play/puase button to turn on and off, it takes a few seconds to start which can be annoying. It has skip forward and backward buttons, and volume buttons, as well as the afore mentioned slide to change folders, or to repeat track or folder. The buttons are quite small, so if you are a bit ham fisted you may not like them. And there is no hold or lock to stop you from accidentally turning it on and off but I have only done this once anyway. There is only 1gb of memory which for some people will be a lot but others may think it is quite small- I dont have much music so I think it is the perfect size for me.
