I've been a keen design critic for these types of PMP component packages for a while now, and have I've been very much involved with digital media since mid 2002. This particular (green) OLED screen definition is of a high standard. It 's glossy visualisation is inviting you in; and of course it is very user friendly.
The MP3 Player only is compatible with JPEG customary images, that are online/web based, you can also load off from a digital camera, the PC, or from the internet itself. The audio quality is crystal clear, of course depending on the size of file the MP3 file as the higher the size of the file the better the quality. The only one objective that saddened me with this particular product was the fact that it has an limited file recognitions; this will probably be sorted out in the next model V Plus series.
**The available software included within this package; already installed is: MediaSource - MediaExporer - ZenCast Organiser **
- ear-plugs are included (not the best kind sadly) -
-Mobile Technology- It lacks functionality. No MP4 decoding is available with the V Plus ** For any songs that have been downloaded onto your PC from paid music sites that are (Protected by copyright) will be able to be played by this MP3 Player. Many media sites now have encryped code that stops this form of usage.
- 2GB of music storage - 2048MB 2GB is sufficient to play over a 1500 MP3 music tracks. Personally, I do feel that 2GB is sufficient space for audio only, though video's I would claim a 4GB or a 8GB is better suited. The transfer rates are fast due to the fast USB transfer fast - track Windows music browser software. What is a noticeable difference is that it is not an ipod; even though it easily can be mistaken as one. What is noticeably different is the price comparison.
- Styled on Apples iPod - The timing for the V Plus Zen launch co-incided with the earlier ipod nano launch earlier this year (2007). I'm not a Creative Lab fan as they seem to miss out on the boat regards to product style and of course the highly sought after nano technology. Creative has nano labelled products but they are not so wellknown, due to the fact they are not so good. Creative seems to fall at a couple of hurdles namely the weight. On average Creative is 8 grammes more heavier than Apples' iPod. The other hurdle is the 'trouser test' iPod's generally are unseen in the pockets, yet this model certainly is visable. Overall, the feel of the V Plus is notably beefy compared to the iPod. Though functionally it is very astute and slick.
- Size does matter - Weighing in at 44g - Yes this is a heavy weight, not that you notice it, though as size does matter this has to be mentioned - now the nano modifications have reached the UK's market place.

Yes, please take note; the 2GB is a good amount of digital MP3 space for a non video audio only player. The voice-recording is a fab utility - please try it; I did it was a revelation. Extreme quality; not that I like my own voice of course, though it does help. External recordings again superb. Ideal accessory for a pop concert maybe. The radio is of DAB quality which is superb for catching up with news updates. - Now, that important price -

I'm going to give the V Plus a 7.5/10 overall. The lime green and white colour is more my 'cup of tea' and is much more easy on the eye. The white is a design source from the successful iPod branding and I do believe this was Creatives intention. At least this particular colour combination is soothing and reminds me of a dash of lime with an iced cold Gin and tonic, on a warm summers day. I hope you have found this review helpful.

...get a mains charger from Creative for it but it's an extra layout. If you are an avid computer user then it's fine if not it might be worth thinking about another product or purchasing the mains charger seperately
I would really recommend this to anyone thinking about buying an mp3 player. I used to carry a personal stereo everywhere with me and I would say that this is 100 if not 1000 times better in every way. ...

Advantages: Incredible sound, very good looking Disadvantages: Poor design, very poor buttons.
I don't actually own this, it's my brothers, but i have borrowed it for a while for this review, and i've ripped it to pieces to find any faults.
On first holding this player i noticed one thing, it's really, really light. It's also very small, roughly the size of a small box of matches. This, naturally means that the screen is very small, but the space is used very well, the screen has a good resolution. The two small buttons also light up a pale ... ...little else to say about the player by way of looks, it's just a very good looking player, and looks almost exactly as in the picture, it's very nice looking. All the other buttons are a bright green colour. One problem is the fact it's very difficult to see in sunlight, the screen glares alot - so maybe not for much outdoors use.
When using the player, there's the odd problem with the buttons not feeling particularly good. The joystick is particularly ...

Right then, the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the Zen V Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and ... ...this smaller player. I think Creative need to do a bit more research on fabrics used for their pouch and get it changed straight away. Apart from those two negatives I don't think I can find any other ones.
Positives: Now onto the positives, there are plenty of these. To start with, the size of this little player is awesome. It is very small and has a very clear screen if you choose the right colour scheme and background. Personally I have chosen ...

Excellent MP3 Player. Versatile, stylish, easy to use. Bought mine for £63 from Amazon (delivered 48hrs later).
Very easy to sync with PC, several software options for managing music, pictures, video and data files. Have mainly used mine for music as with only 2GB memory there is not room for many pictures and videos and the screen is a little small to do them justice anyway.
The sound quality is excellent, although I invested in a pair of Phillips ... ...Zen.
The only mild disappointment is that the player can only be charged through the USB PC connection, which takes a little while to charge it fully and needs to be done fairly often if you use the player quite a bit.
But all in all I would certainly recommend the Zen V Plus as an excellent MP3 player. ...

Advantages: Easily portable, slick design, super video quality, powerful recording. Disadvantages: Video files take too much space, earphone and battery life could be better.
I bought this player two months ago from Amazon. Though very small but it looks very cute, shiny, smooth and perfect size for carrying.
Installation is very easy. Video and audio playback quality is fantastic. Recording is very clear and it is really easy to convert audio/video files to player supported format with the software provided.
The bad sides that I found are:
The supplied earphone is bit big for my ear.

I have had my CreativeZenVPlus2GB for a few months now and I can safely say it has been moeny well spent! Very simple to use - the buttons make sense and the on screen view clearly instructs you on what to do next.
A filing system that makes sense helping me to organise my tracks.
The screen is absolutely crystal clear and it sounds as though it may be too small to watch videos but it is not it's just perfect. When you are playing MP3's the track information scrolls alternately across the screen and best of all the album art is displayed for quick identification of tracks and artist.
The sound from it is perfectly clear and the different audio settings are amazing.
The battery holds it's charge for what seems like forever and charges up in as little as 2.5 hours. The system has never crashed on me but incase it ever does there is ...
Advantages: 2GB of music data storage Disadvantages: too bulky for my liking

I've always been interested in these types of PMP component packages whether it's a standard screen model, or whether it is HD quality or touchscreen quality. The OLED screen definition is very good, sheer gloss and glamour which is very user friendly; it has a Nokia feel for me; not surprising really as both companies originated in the East and Chinese market before setting their sights on the Western digital market ...
