The Creative Zen is seen as an iPod competitor, but I don't think it will overtake the iPod any time soon.
The player is very nice and the price is quite low compared to iPods. It can player music and videos as well as show photos. Everything is great quality.
It has very good battery life, for me it is brilliant for this. iPods have batteries that don't last very long, but the battery in the Zen seems to last forever.
It isn't as good at transferring music as the ipods. With the iPods you can just use itunes and everything will sync.
With the zen you have to use some software to manage your music (eg. windows media player) but you also have to use the creative zen sync manager to transfer the music to the player, which is slow.
For me, this is a good player for it's price and has amazing battery life. However, it doesn't have the same features or finish as any iPod so I would take an iPod any day.
