I recieved my creative zen micro photo as a replacement for my late Ipod mini (4gb), I was shocked when I initially tore open the packaging with an unnatural force, inside I found:
*Creative earphones (Quality wasn't great, obviously a knock-off of the *Ipod headphones)
*Leather pouch
*battery
*CD with software
*cable
Lets start with the Zen, ok, it has no buttons and some users will find the toch-interface quite annoying (as my freind put is a f***ing waste of time) the screen quality could be better and the photo-display mode seems to be a bit of a gimmick, (the photos are blurry). I only really needed the Zen for music and, after uploading the songs onto it (this can be done with media player or the bundled software which is complicated and harder to use than the traditional itunes.) The songs are incredibly good quality and i'm still using it, the headphones gave up the ghost after about 3 months so im using JVC marshmallows, the player feels very solid and I have dropped it several times with no visible results. The only thing I don't really like is the bundled software and the fact that it takes about 10-20 seconds to boot. Overall- I personally wouldn't spend more than £100 on one of these, they aren't quite the 'ipod-killer' creative maked them out to be but it is a solid, resiliant and cool looking player. Players party peice-An electric blue light areound the sides really makes this little gem stand out.

Advantages: Good quality microphone; decent battery life, good size; software is easy to use Disadvantages: Touchpad is annoying; awkward headphones; only coming with a computer charger.
