I enjoy using this MP3 player as it is easy to use, has a clear display and downloading songs are quick and easy. The software is particularly good with a format converter which will convert songs ... ...and paste them onto your Creative Nano, and for someone like me who like the layout and easy use of WMP, it is preferable to iTunes.
The thing that I find annoying about this product is the fact that you can't scroll through your songs, to for example, select the next track you want to play, without changing the track you're already listening to, and although the small screen displays the track name, it does not show the artist, album etc. more
I have had a Creative MP3 Player before I received this one as a gift. In my opinion they are more cost effective than the Apple equivalent as they are more reliable and robust. The software is better and the item is self is cheaper yet reliable. I enjoy using this MP3 player as it is easy to use, has a clear display and downloading songs are quick and easy. The software is particularly good with a format converter which will convert songs into a playable format. This however, does not work for all formats, including MP4, or iTunes. You can also use Windows Media Player to rip songs and then simply copy and paste them onto your Creative Nano, and for someone like me who like the layout and easy use of WMP, it is preferable to iTunes. The thing that I find annoying about this product is the fact that you can't scroll through your songs, to for example, select the next track you want to play, without changing the track you're already listening to, and although the small screen displays the track name, it does not show the artist, album etc. I enjoy personalising the sound that I hear by using the custom equaliser, which is good is you want to blast the bass louder, but is quite complicated and its a shame you can't just select something to switch the bass on rather than changing lots of settings. I have to say, I am not impressed with the poor quality of the radio on the Creative Nano, if it boasts to have a radio, it should be one that works. The quality is poor and when you think you have found a station, as soon as you move, the sounds turns to fuzz again. I'm afraid to say there is yet another thing wrong with the Creative Nano and that is the earphones. They are uncomfortable and refuse to stay in your ears! I have to use some earphones I had from a previous MP3 which fit much better. This review has been quite negative, but I really do like using mine. It's small, neat and easily fits in a pocket or purse. I like the fact it runs on AAA batteries as it means you don't have the problem of the battery eventually dying out (like Mini iPod batteries seem to be capable of) and the battery life is really quite good. I have used mine for four hours straight in a car journey and still had plenty of battery power left for the next day. I would recommend this product to someone who hasn't got a large library of music, or someone who wants something easy to use. Its limit is about 200 songs max. I think for the price, it's not bad, you can get them for around £45-60, which is considerably cheaper than Apple products. Compared to the iPod shuffle, I would have to say this appeals to me much more, as there is screen display and user-friendly software. I also found the microphone really useful for learning presentations and the track encoded is really cool! This feature enables you to plug in the Creative to any earphone plug and record from... well anything! The sound quality is obviously slightly poorer than it would be on the original player, but it's great for recording cassettes and other things that you can't rip songs from and making mp3 files. All in all, this is a neat little MP3, but I think there are better ones on the market. Some features: -512mb Capacity - Store up to 250 songs -WxHxD: 1.32" x 2.58" x 0.51" / 3.35cm x 6.55cm x 1.3cm -Directly record music from any audio source with Line-in -Tune in to 32 stations and record FM Radio Voice record with built in microphone -Fast music transfer with USB 2.0 -Simple drag-and-drop music and data files, no software needed -Store data files such as photos and presentations -Reversible LCD for left or right handed operation -4 Band EQ (Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock) - Settings to make your music sound better -Up to 18 hrs of battery life
...to replace the in ear creative headphones that are supplied with the Nano, as a better sound quality will be achieved with a better quality set of headphones. The MP3 player will play WMA files as well as MP3 files. It also includes a radio and many different sound equilliser features, including a custom setting to suit your needs. The MP3 player will also allow you to record short audio tracks with the built-in microphone. I would also advise those ... ...a rechargable battery, as you will really notice the difference in play time, depending on the qualitly on the battery, of course! This will hold anything upto 250 songs. (more or less depending on the length and size of the song) It comes with a CD-Rom which will give you all the information you'll need to know, as well as the instruction booklet included in the Box. Placing songs onto the MP3 player couldn't be easier. Simply plug the device into ...

Advantages: slim design, battery life, excellent software Disadvantages: no case, cabinet easily marked if not looked after
I bought this for my wife as birthday present. She hasn't put it down since!
The playback quality has a range of preset sound options and through the supplied in-ear headphones is pretty good, but you could improve it with a better quality pair.
The software supplied on the CD is very easy to use and one of the quickest pieces of ripping software that I have used.
It can play both MP3 and WMA formats, plus the built in radio gives the option to ...

Advantages: Great for music Great for Work Great for your Pocket Great For Your Music and Great All Over Disadvantages: Not Enough Memory however it isnt an I-Pod so Nothing else there to say
This MP3 player is good as a beginner MP3 player for those people who are scared of I-Pods, because of there layout or because of what's been happening in the press. Or don't have the money for an I-Pod; well they do range from £99-£350. However this is well in everyone's price range ranging from £30-£80 it is good because you could store up to 160 songs on this (average 3:00 minutes) this is very good and the battery life is well worth it because ... ...times over. Not only will it play MP3's but it will store word and PDF files which will allow a student at school to listen to his/her music on the way to school/college/university and then upload there work and then continue and on there way home listen to there music. So good for your pocket and good for your music. ...

The CreativeZenNanoPlus512mb .
< Background to purchase : >
After many a year ( well two anyway ) , I decided to get with the times , ditch the portable CD player and move forward with the purchase of an MP3 player .
I looked at many ( the iPod Nano amongst others - sadly cost & availability said no ) , but in the end kept going back to the first MP3 player that really caught my eye and which was both affordable and from a well respected manufacturer - the CreativeZenNanoPlus - yet it shares he same Nano name as its main competitor , but was on the market way before Apples might player was unleashed .
< Available memory sizes : >
The NanoPlus comes in three flash memory sizes , namely 256 mb , 512mb and 1 gig . The average price for these is £40 , £60 and £80 respectively . Not limited by the cost , I plumped ...
