Creative have decided you only need charge your Zen via a computer and so when you plug in the USB lead it charges the Zen. This is all fine but what about if you are on holiday and do not take your computer with you? I bought one from an auction site and it's fine. You can buy direct from Creative, Pixmania, ebay.

I recently bought a Zen v plus 4gb from Amazon. It was only about £91. My husband has the Zen 20gb and loves it.
The Zen v plus 4gb holds around 2,000 according to the box, I haven't filled it up yet, i've only put 140 tracks on.
The small big button in the middle of the player easily navigates through the menus, then you have a back key and a pause/play key on the front. On the side of the player is the volumn control, record button, on/off/hold switch. At the top you have the USB input slot and the line in. At the bottome is the loop to put your lanyard in so you can hang it round your neck, beware of magpies though!
What's in the Box?
It comes with a short USB cable which is fine if you are using a laptop but if you are using a tower PC you might have to scramble around on the floor with your player.

There is an instruction manual and set up disk. The set up is very fast and within minutes you can be downloading tracks from your computer.
You will notice that I haven't mentioned the AC power adaptor, this is because there isn't one. Creative have decided you only need charge your Zen via a computer and so when you plug in the USB lead it charges the Zen. The menus are easily navigated, you can choose to listen to a random selection of tunes you have put on your system or each artist, album, genre, as you would expect from an MP3 player.
The screen is pefectly clear, you would think that such a small device would have a rubbish screen but i've put a couple of photos on via the computer and they look great.
Sound quality is pefect, just as it sounds from it's original source.
When downloading songs you have to ensure the title of the track, artist and album are actually typed in because otherwise the Zen will clump everything into an "unknown" folder and it makes it long winded when searching for your favourite track.
I've read reports that sometimes the player can freeze for a few seconds whilst you are scrolling through the menu but I haven't had that yet!
You can download videos onto the player, though i'm not sure why i'd want to or how much memory it'd take up.
There is a radio on this little magic player (which is what the plus is for). Unfortunately it is not digital but it has a very good reception and is very easy to use.
There is a microphone so you can record your mates or whatever you want to, an organiser and something called removable disk which I haven't figured out yet. The clock feature also acts as an alarm.
Small, light and very entertaining, great value for money and holds enough songs to keep you busy on public transport. What more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering an MP3 player for the first time.

I am an avid Creative Zen fan and have never touched an iPod as a result. I bought this model after deciding that my Zen Micro was a little out of date as it was heavy and lacked a colour screen so I started looking for something new and found it in this mp3 player.
Look:
I was very impressed by how sleek and shiny the player was, I liked the black glossy casing and the blue accents (although the colour of the accent depends on the capacity of ... ...is the same as most Creative players and so it won't be a shock to anyone who has previously had a Creative. It does store photos and videos which was new for me coming from owning the Micro.
Player:
I was very surprised just how small and light the player was - it's also very very comfortable fitting snugly into the palm of your hand allowing for easy operation of the player. The only disadvantage that I can possibly mention is that after a few ...

Advantages: Great interface, intuitive, nice size, good sound and video quality, cheap, mains charger avaliable Disadvantages: in-built battery, shiny surface always shows finger prints, scratches are really noticeable.
I bought this thing because my old tatty mp3 player with a smashed up screen stopped working. i bought a few really cheap things before it but they didn't really work, one even crashed my computer every time i plugged it in so i opted to spend a bit more and hopefully get something a bit better.
usually i think you're paying more just for a brand name but not in this case. overall i love the thing, it fits my needs really well and every time i use ... ...is. The only reason it's four star is because ideally i'd have a matte surface. i'm also a little worried i'll break it because I'm very clumsy and I don't know that it's up to it. I've had it over a year but been very careful.

It is a great looking little mp3 player and there are lots of great accessories that you can buy to go with it which makes it even more fun! I would definitely recommend it to all. It is the quirkiest little mp3 player that i have seen and technically it is amazing too. I wouldnt change it for any mp3 player on the market. ...

I was given this from a friend as they wanted to purchase a IPod so I was happy to take this little gadget off their hands and I love this little device. The look? This MP3 is so small, just a little bit bigger than the iPod shuffle, comes in black with a blue button (the colours can change depending on the size of memory you get ) How easy is it to use? I find it very easy and simple to use The Zen turns on at left side and you hold it down and ... ...middle of the Zen and you use this to navigate through the menus. When you turn it on , it's in colour , I think you can change the colour to suit your likes but I haven't figured out how to do this so I keep it on default. What can it do? A few of you may have read about my previous encounter with Zen players. Maybe not all that succesful, but it was good while it lasted! Ordering a new player, I decided to stick with Creative. Seeing this new, smaller model, I quickly purchased. The first thing I noticed was that the basic appearance had changed drastically. No more touch- sensitive controls, which I admit I see as a good and bad thing. The touch scroller on the previous ZEN made ... ...control. With the new joystick and side buttons, I feel I'm much more in control of the music I'm selecting to play. One negative aspect of the buttons was that I felt that I had to press down too hard just to get a reponse. Maybe they should be a little more sensitive? After all, the player does come with a keypad lock feature! It takes a lot longer to scroll down your music lists, and when you have as much music as I do (self confessed music junkie!) ...

Hiya and welcome to my first review and I would like to write about my MP3/MP4 player the CreativeZenV Plus 1 GB which I have now owned for about a year. It goes everywhere with me from travelling to the office to family holidays where I find it ideal for listening to my music which I have downloaded to my PC and then transferred over and even watching video clips and music videos that I have downloaded.
The only down side is the amount of video I can save is never quite enough and there is no way to increase the memory size. Right then, the CreativeZenV Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the ZenV Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and register your product so your warranty becomes valid.
Negatives: To start with, the headphones are a bit big and are like the Ipod headphones which have a very thin stalk on them so can break easily. Mine didn't break because I changed them straight away after realizing the sound quality wasn't very good and the headphones were too big and wouldn't stay in my ears, they kept falling ...
