Creative ZEN V 4 GB

Advantages: Slick appearance, easy to use

Player: I was very surprised just how small and light the player was - it's also very very comfortable fitting snugly into the palm of your hand allowing for easy operation of the player. Disadvantages: in-built battery, shiny surface always shows finger prints, scratches are really noticeable.

I bought this thing because my old tatty mp3 player with a smashed up screen stopped working. i bought a few really cheap things before it but they didn't really work, one even crashed my computer every time i plugged it in so i opted to spend a bit more and hopefully get something a bit better. usually i think you're paying more just for a brand name but not in this case. overall i love the thing, it fits my needs really well and every time i use ...

...onto the player with the creative programme. I haven't got round to putting mini video clips on it yet so i cant comment on that. It is a great looking little mp3 player and there are lots of great accessories that you can buy to go with it which makes it even more fun! I would definitely recommend it to all. I was given this from a friend as they wanted to purchase a IPod so I was happy to take this little gadget off their hands and I love this little device. The look? A few of you may have read about my previous encounter with Zen players. Maybe not all that succesful, but it was good while it lasted! Ordering a new player, I decided to stick with Creative. Seeing this new, smaller model, I quickly purchased. The first thing I noticed was that the basic appearance had changed drastically. ...control. With the new joystick and side buttons, I feel I'm much more in control of the music I'm selecting to play. One negative aspect of the buttons was that I felt that I had to press down too hard just to get a reponse. Maybe they should be a little more sensitive? ...Hiya and welcome to my first review and I would like to write about my MP3/MP4 player the Creative Zen V Plus 1 GB which I have now owned for about a year. It goes everywhere with me from travelling to the office to family holidays where I find it ideal for listening to my music which I have downloaded to my PC and then transferred over and even watching video clips and music videos that I have downloaded. The only down side is the amount of video I can save is never quite enough and there is no way to increase the memory size. Music however I do not have any problems storing about 400 tracks on it to listen to wherever I go. It has a great large colour scratch resistant screen for viewing videos and selecting music track's as well as a very easy to use menu system which is operated by a simple but very smooth joystick. ...Right then, the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB is a very good player to me. I purchased this mp3+mp4 player just before Christmas and first impressions were great, instruction manual very useful so I got familiar with the player very quickly. There is a lot of software that can be put onto your PC but all I use is the Creative MediaSource 5 Organizer and the Zen V Series Media Explorer. But first you want to go onto the Creative product registration and register your product so your warranty becomes valid. Negatives: To start with, the headphones are a bit big and are like the Ipod headphones which have a very thin stalk on them so can break easily. Mine didn't break because I changed them straight away after realizing the sound quality wasn't very good and the headphones were too big and wouldn't stay in my ears, they kept falling...
