I own the 60gb model but is exactly the same as the 30gb model but just with more space and slightly thicker. In my opinion, this is a fairly solid product with many positive features. It has good audio/video quality but it is a bit on the bulky side but it is not something to be put off by.
I have dropped once already (not intentionally and only owned for but a month tops!) from about 4' (1200mm) high and there was not a mark, dent or sratch on it!
It has a nice looking 16:9 screen. Good video quality and supports many formats (AVI, DivX, MPEG4, WMV, MPEG2). Has its own relatively powerful built-in speaker and removable battery.
Also has a TV output function (comes with complete with cable) to enable user to watch videos or pictures/listen to songs through TV.
I use mine on a daily basis (9-5 :op ) and battery lasts no problem on full charge. Can charge player via mains adapter or through computer (usb cable supplied).
Included is AC adapter, a soft carrying bag, a minijack-to-RCA A/V cable, USB cable, earbuds, and a standard mini-USB 2.0 cable.
The interface is nice and easy to use. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- From my experience, the player has no problem in playing the various audio formats (WAV, WMA, MP3, Protected WMA and 'Audible' audiobooks).
It is limited however to only displaying JPEG's on the photo front.
On the Vision's screen, photos look sharp and crisp, and colors are vivid with true blacks. There are additonal functions such as pan, zoom, and rotate, but the zoom feature is quite slow, and thumbnails take a while to load the first time, because they're generated directly on the player.
A cool feature however, is that of the photo options. These include watching slide shows with musical accompaniment and also setting images as the device's background wallpaper.
