42, control freak, love reading, singing and having the 3 cats do their stuff in the litter tray - not on the floor! Slightly crazy hubby and bratbaby but thats the way the rhubarb crumbles.

Having just moved house and had the trauma of ripping out a rundown kitchen, I decided to go a bit more high-tech than the old vent pipe out the window approach to tumble drying and buy a Condensor drier. My previous driers have always been Creda and I rated them very highly .
There are two T632s available, one has sensor drying (ie it switches of when it thinks the load is dry) and manual. I chose the former as it is supposed to save energy, the only problem is that I open the door to find my clothing is still damp and not remotely wearable - dry to this machine doesn't equal dry to me! Unfortunately the sensor drying function cannot be switched off, there is no choice.
On a plus side the machine does have a timer control which allows you to switch it on and choose between 1 and 8 hours ahead for it to actually start. This is very handy if you are on Economy 7 and want to dry in the middle of the night. There is also a '30 minute dry' setting and an 'iron' setting which runs for about 20 minutes to help de-crease already dry clothing.
Overall I would say that this machine does the job if you are happy to run a cycle and then run it again - my clothes have never been dried to the extenet that I can't iron the creases out of them and the water container is easy to empty is hidden away nicely. The machine looks good and has a warning light which flashes when it needs emptying. There are better machines out there but, for the price, this does the job and, after all, a bit of personality in your kitchen appliance is always a nice touch!
Comparing vented with condensing tumble driers, the condensor wins out every time. No more cloudy kitchen windows because I forgot to attach the venting hose and certainly quieter.

I SO need to get myself a Condensing Dryer. I have a Creda Simplicity Reverse dryer at the moment, whilst it dries quickly, unless I vent the hose out the window, which is difficult as I have "tilt and turn" windows, the kitchen ends up like a sauna. Good review! Ciao for now - J

My tumble dryer is on daily. This one sounds good. Maureen
