Money for nothing...CreditExpert's not for free
Review of Experian by 1st2thebar

Advantages: They respond to you eventually
Disadvantages: Too many too mention

Experian CreditExpert is a service who provides you with your credit information on a monthly basis. They alert you via emails if your credit changes or if there are any movements such as any credit charged for or against you. Now that is what Experian's CreditExpert does.. of course this is simplified. I'm not going to rant on about how bad it is without any relevant substance; that is why I had held back until now to write a review about my experience ...
...been an active member of Experian since early January 2007. I thought it would be a great idea to monitor my credit ratings on a daily basis as I'm a businessman. I originally found the CreditExpert advert online saying Free credit history reports emailed to you weekly. I asked a business contact about it and he said that he is a member and said it was worth being a member. I was impressed with the initial service package; until I actually saw my ... Read review

Credit Expert
Review of www.creditexpert.co.uk by chiefwiggum

Advantages: Information is obtainable and easy to read
Disadvantages: There are hidden charges in the 30 day "Free" period. BEWARE.

The "Free" 30 day offer that credit expert is offering is not as free as they would like you to think. I am not foolish, but disapointingly I fell into the trap of wanting to read my "National Credit Score". The advisory says that it will cost £5.95, but nothing to indicate this is not included in the 30 day free offer. I clicked on it two times in a three day period, as if I needed to check that a 999 score could reduce so dramatically! 2 x £5.95 ...
...no use, they can only read from the Credit Expert "bible", and rather blithely inform you that the small print is there. This is how they make their money in the 30 day free period. It is very misleading. Don't expect any sympathy or common sense if you call to resolve the situation. My membership ended that day. ... Read review

Equifax sounds nice SMELLS REALLY BAD
Review of Equifax by floater

Advantages: Its a front for an evil system
Disadvantages: A corrupt ruling class judgeing and controlling our lives

...got my credit rating with Equifax because it was offered on a month free so I thought why not I haven\'t seen this yet. Hey all your details in one file with a rating on what type of person you are with regards to lending and finance, hey I know my capabilities because of my situation just prior to this boom in credit card lending and the constantly updated credit scoring system, I was very good at handling my money. The situation I am in at the ...
...dictated by a computer or someone\'s opinion sets the limits on what your aspirations can be(where do the two cross over). I was sucked in by the amount of credit available but have soon realised the disturbing truth - all your details in one place. The idea of credit scoring is a bad one they should have reduced the amount of credit available to people in the first place (hindsight is a great thing) but I also believe this credit crisis is manufactured ...
