Top Gear, currently the UKs most popular car magazine, is for people who know about cars and want to appear knowledgable. Evo is the magazine that the true petrolheads read.
It combines mouthwatering photography with excellent writing that really give you a feel for what the car is like to drive. Of particular note, Evo give very few review of 'normal' cars, instead they focus almost solely on supercars. This is great, as, let's face, we don't really want to read about the new Toyota Aygo - we really want to read about the Ferrari F430 Scuderia.
One of my favourite sections is called the 'long termers'. With this section, Evo is given a car by a manufacturer (or, with some of the more exotic metal, contributors write the article about their own cars) for a period of 6 months to a year. It lets one know what the car is like to own ...

Sorry about this but I'm back with another of my all time favourites, yet another from the pen of Dame Daphne Du Maurier - Frenchman's Creek.
There is a reason that Daphne du Maurier's books are classics today and that reason is her wonderful haunting use of language. All her books, are so beautifully written and the Cornish ones epitomise the timeless, lonely quality of Cornwall and makes the reader feel that they are there.

The Cariba Creek Waterpark is the waterpark at Alton Towers. It is built into the Alton Towers Splash Landings hotel. It has many indoor water cannons, hot tubs, waterslides and even a water coaster! This is my experience.
My parents and I were staying at the Alton Towers hotel, (we have the Merlin Pass so we decided it was worth going to Alton Towers.) we stayed there for two nights and on the second day we decided to go to the Cariba Creek Waterpark.
When we walked through the Alton Towers hotel on the reception floor, we passed through some rooms than we noticed the carpet changed...so we knew that we WERE in the Splash Landings hotel.
