Not having money to burn, i bought a couple of sample pots from a friend of this face cream. They cost me £15 for the tiniest of pots, but i had checked them out beforehand on ebay and that was the going rate.
When i opened the pot, the first thing that hit me that it was a solid block of moisture, rather than a creme that you could easily get out with your fingertip. Only when i used very warm fingers would it coat my fingertips. It was a pure white cream that smelled strangely of nivea. However, it didnt have the same texture and thickeness of nivea.
The next battle is to get it on your face, well the idea is that you warm your fingerips and gently rub them together to disperse the cream across the pads of your fingers. Again, warm fingers are needed for this. The idea now is to gently press it into your facial skin. If your lucky and your fingers are warm enough, you may get it right. If not you will have the best looking fingertips in the world!!!
The smell was cheap and not pleasant rather sweet and sickly. Thank goodness it wasnt heavily scented.
The packaging was cheap, white pot with brown writing. A great deal of thought had gone into the presentation (not).
'It is currently developed by the Lauder group but was conceived by NASA physicist Max Huber 30 years ago. It is expensive, because of the "secret ingredient" - a special seaweed picked off the north coast of California twice a year. It contains, Magnesium,Calcium, Iron,Potassium, Lecithin, Vitamins C , D , E and B12 as well as extracts of citrus, sunflower eucalyptus, alfafa and lastly wheatgerm. Then there is a four month long fermentation process that suposedly transforms the ingredients into a nutrient rich broth of creme de la mer.'
Yeah another product that saw me coming! Rocket science? I dont think so!
