Flintoff, Oval to you
Review of England by 1st2thebar

Advantages: Bar managers get your barrels full - Flintoffs in town
Disadvantages: Just for a pot of ashes

...yourself 127 years onwards, and England and Australia contest the ashes; which is an urn about 6 inches tall, and weighs several grams. Not much to look at unless you're an undertaker. Flintoff, Oval to you O 111 My favourite phrase for watching the ashes this year is 'You muppet!' and that's while viewing England's one and only victory against the Aussies this Summer. - Now that the ...
...as the efforts of the England players were beyond woeful and I'm being generous. It all seemed to go wrong when the Prime Minister Gordon Brown was asked what he intends to do while on holiday; and he mincingly replied 'watching the cricket and tennis'. - Alarm bells shrilled out then, his aura of doom would transcend upon any hope of regaining that urn. I did pray for rain, I must confess; and there it appeared. - Brown, could have been giving helpful ... Read review

Indian Cricket Team
Review of India by abhic_1983

Advantages: A tiger on paper
Disadvantages: A cat on the field

Cricket is not only considered to be sport, it is also considered a religion as well. The Indian cricket team has a huge fan base. Not only that on papers it is one of the best teams in the world consisting of probably the biggest of the names of World cricket. But when it comes to on field performances, barring a few occasions, the team has not lived up to its expectations. It is really one of the most hyped teams in the world just like the England ...
...won a team in most of the matches. It is the team effort that finally does for a team and this is the only thing that can win matches. Even though Indian team has a lot of big names but the team effort is certainly lacking and this is the only reason that despite of having big names in the list, it is not able to live up to the expectations. ... ...bet it will be against Pakistan team. On the other hand after SriLankan team incident in lahore, The world community has shown totaly discouraging attitude towrds cricket in Pakistan. One negative aspect of this unfortunate team is the availability of exceptional standard coach. Till date no dedicated coach is avaiable to this team. Australian Cricket Team
Review of Australia by carl.mcqueen

Advantages: Still the top team in the world
Disadvantages: Some weaknesses

"Bad luck you Aussies!!" I'm sure those words would have left Geoff Boycott's lips at some point over the last 5 days...but how they made England panic last night. Yes, England have gone 1-0 up after winning the second test at Lord's, but somewhere at the back of even the most optimistic of minds, they will be that nagging doubt that the Australians could easily come back and winning two of the next three tests and retain the Ashes. Damn them all! ...
...lost during the 2005 Ashes series, and very different to the team which thrashed us, and that's an understatement, 5 - 0 during the 2006/07 tour. Ponting still captains the team, but many critics say his team was adopted from Steve Waugh, with the likes of Warne, McGrath, Hayden, Gilchrist, Langer, Martyn, Gillespie all left overs from the team which began dominating world cricket over a decade ago. Now however, they have all gone, and although not ... Read review

...Pro40 games to see the Surrey (Brown Caps) about £12. The first ever tour to England that involved a test here was by an Australian Aboriginal team back in 1868, even then the South London ground expressing its cosmopolitan attitude and credentials. In fact documents show that a game called 'creckett' was played there 500 years ago. For me it's our number one ground now, the increasingly stuffy and expensive Lords cricketing experience well down ... Read review
