    Final Fantasy 7. Hoo boy. Back when I was a rosy cheeked lad I played FF7 until my thumbs bled. It's one of the most critically acclaimed games ever to exist, and has spawned a startlingly large (and regularly creepy) fanbase. It deserved to - no game has ever spun a story quite as intricate as FF7, and no game has ever caused fully grown men to cry in quite the same way. Not that I cried or anything. Cough.     In the beginning, there was Final Fantasy VII. To commemorate the games' Tenth Anniversary, Square Enix has released yet another addition to the Final Fantasy VII series, making Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core the fourth in the compilation.     I have been waiting for this game for some time, 11 years to be exact! The original final fantasy VII came out in 1997. It was simply amazing and probably the best game on the playstation if not one of the best games ever. The story for the original FFVII was somewhat confusing. There were areas that were not explained fully. Crisis core is a prequal tothe original game. It ends where FFVII begins and it answers most of what fans have been asking for the last 10 years!     Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is a prequel to Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII and tells the story of Zack as he rises through the ranks of SOLDIER and the events prior to Final Fantasy VII, and how these shaped Cloud (the main character of FFVII). Or they would if they didn't get bogged down in a pile of nonsense. The fans of the series are interested in the past of Zack, Cloud and Sephiroth. What they don't care about are the likes of Genesis (basically a J-Rock star Gackt insertion character) and all the other rubbish they decided was a good idea.
