Crisps with a Veggy Twist
Advantages: Tasty, make a change from normal crisps, moreish Disadvantages: More expensive than potato crisps
...crisps themselves are part of Sainsbury's Taste the Difference premium range and are located next to well-known brands, such as Kettle Chips and Sensations. ** What are Root Vegetable Crisps? **
Well the name pretty much gives it away! Root Vegetable Crisps are ones made from vegetables other than potato. The particular variety I purchased from Sainsbury's are made from parsnip, sweet potato, carrot and beetroot, so a nice range of flavours there. ... ...Kettle Chips (sea salt flavour), Sainsbury's Vegetable Crisps actually perform better in terms of calories and carbohydrates, yet contain slightly higher levels of fat, salt and fibre, the latter of which is no surprise.
Per 100g, the crisps provide:
Energy - 460 kcal (calories)
Protein - 5.7g
Carbohydrate - 35.9g
Fat - 32.6g
Fibre - 16.4g
Salt - 1.2g
As you have probably guessed, they are suitable for a vegetarian diet. They are also suitable ...

Let's twist again
Advantages: cheese taste, crispy Disadvantages: hard to stop eating them, lots of calories
I bought more then 10 times Sainsbury’s Cheese Twists I just had no time to write a review on them. Now as I can’t use my left hand for at least 3 weeks I have time to think over the products I use regularly. Price and package ----------------------- As it is Sainsbury’s own brand product you will find them in Sainsbury’s only. I bought a pack of 125 grams for 0.98 pounds. I never had a chance to buy them on offer. When you open the wrapper you will ... ...haven’t counted them yet so I just estimate their number. The cheese twists ---------------------- They smell lovely when you open the wrapper. The twists are light brown coloured and some parts of them are medium brown. I like that they are not burnt to have bitter taste. The burnt cheese has bitter taste. So these are baked perfectly. Some of them are broken. I found that usually one third of them are broken. I don’t really care because we broke ...

SAINSBURY'S 'TASTE THE DIFFERENCE'
CHORIZO, CHEESE, & CHILLI CRISPS
Now why would a hyper-intelligent old grump like me opt to do a review of a bloody bag of crisps, you ask? How totally trivial, and such a waste of a giant intellect as to be verging on the tragic, I can hear you saying, incredulously.
But No, my friends. I just had a spare 30 minutes & felt it incumbent upon myself to share with you one of life's small hidden pleasures, and to ... ...& Peace' offerings I've done before.
Don't waste your life reading any further if you don't like crisps, chorizo, cheese or chilli, by the way. And if you don't know what chorizo is, you should have stopped reading at the end of the title. Packaging
***********
A clue to where to purchase this Food of the Gods lies in the title of this piece….Lidl, Aldi, Kwiksave or Kwikfit don't stock them. And if there isn't a Sainsbury's near you, that's not ...

Bizarre but nice
Advantages: OK tasting and healthy Disadvantages: Odd texture and expensive
Firstly, these are peculiar. When I bought them, I expected them to be like a crisp - crunchy and crumbly. In fact, they're a texture I don't think I've ever encountered orally before.
This texture is perhaps the biggest downside to this product. The taste is pleasant and refreshing, which is a plus. I'm not sure when these chips would be served, however - I don't see them as part of an array of nibbles, and they wouldn't really be dippable. I expect ... ...The taste is remarkably fruity for a packaged snack, though it is evident there has been no real sweetening. It leaves a taste in your mouth which feels a bit like real fruit, and there's a sort of acidity which is nice. Unlike an apple, however, they make you thirsty.
They're a bit expensive, but they're very healthy, much more so than potato crisps or most other snacks. I personally would rather just eat an apple but when this is not possible ...

More arid than the Sahara
Advantages: you'd think twice even if starving Disadvantages: many
I have to say I didn't buy these, a friend did. I should have been suspicious because he was very keen to hand them round. With good reason, if you believe the 'a sorrow shared is a sorrow halved' nonesense, or just don't like to suffer alone.
The 'bakes' look a fair bit like Pringles - regular shape, no sign of anything resembling potato, odd colour etc (slightly yellowy with bits on). They are however a smidge fatter and not so large in the surface ... ...infinitely less appealing.
Taste. Well, I've never had a green Thai currey, and if this is even remotely indicitive of what one is like, I probably never will. I couldn't identify anything in the flavour, but the overall effect was unappetising, slightly peculiar, and somehow it just all seemed very wrong, like some sort of synth food in a futuristic sci-fi horror when it turns out you're really eating processed people or poo or something. What ...
