Tesco Onion Rings
Advantages: Good value for money and taste good. Disadvantages: High in calories
Tesco Onion Rings (150g)
Since Christmas I have been trying to fight off the temptations of chocolate. I fear that this will not last much longer though, with Easter fast approaching! So, in my quest for a non-chocolate snack I couldn’t help notice the price of Tesco’s onion rings. I must admit that I do have a weakness for these and try not to buy them too often, but I couldn’t resist on this occasion. I notice that they are listed on Ciao as Onions ... ...As with my review on Tesco Cheese Puffs, you can see what an exciting time I had before I even ate one! The texture of the Onion Rings is quite rough and they are an orangey brown colour.
The Rings are the same size and shape as those shown on the bag. They have a very pleasant, mild onion flavour which lingers at the back of your throat for quite a long time. They are covered with a slight powder which, if you lick off your fingers, has the flavour ...

Advantages: Very cheap to buy. Tasty. Great portion control due to size of packet. Disadvantages: Children may object to having a value brand for lunch boxes, the occasional imperfect crisp
...I went into my local Tesco Express the value crisp 12 pack shelf was almost always nearly empty while the Walkers was bulging.
So one day I decided to purchase my first ever 12 pack of Value crisps.
They cost 46p f(£0.04/each) for 12 bags. Eack individual bag is 18g.
Each bag contains:
95 cals (5% DA) sugar trace (<1%)
Fat 6g (9%)
Saturates 0.7g (4%)
Salt 0.3g (5%)
The packaging also states no artificial flavours, colours or MSG.
Allergy ... ...cut crisp than other brands and you do get the occasional 'imperfect' crisp but when you haven't paid the earth for them you don't mind. The packaging is basic, just the Tesco Value colouring but do you eat the packaging?
Definately a credit 'crisp crunch' buster! ('',) ...

Delicious Nachos for my tea!
Advantages: Lovely and crunchy, lightly salted, bargain price. Disadvantages: None.
...just 25p at present from Tesco stores and at tesco.com. The bag is very simple in design. It is clear so that you can see the chips and they look the same as any other tortilla chip really yellow almost triangles with lots of bits in them (corn). I used the chips to make nachos with a tomato salsa, onions & peppers etc and then I topped the whole thing with cheese. This was far cheaper for me than using a Nachos kit (as I usually would) and I already ... ...kit that I brought earlier today as well. The chips were very crunchy and a little plain if sampled alone, however, as the base for my nachos they were delicious, soft where the salsa and cheese was and hard where there was only cheese. I could taste that these were salted but it was not overpowering, my other half was also very pleased with them. (He was amazed at my cost-saving idea - thanks Ciao!). I would definitely recommend them and would buy ...

Tesco Bacon Rashers Snack
Advantages: Very good value for money and tasty Disadvantages: High in calories
Tesco Bacon Rashers (150g)
The Christmas chocolates and savoury snacks are already appearing in supermarkets. I resisted the temptation to buy any chocolates just yet. Past experience has shown that I can’t resist the temptation to wait until Christmas before starting on them! However, amongst the Christmas snacks in Tesco’s this year are their Bacon Rashers. I fought back the urge to buy the ‘big’ bag of these and opted for a smaller one in their ... ...for a while so I decided to see if they were as tasty as I remembered.

Are you ready for Tesco value salted crisps?
Advantages: Less salt, better nutritional value, and a great price Disadvantages: Not for brand snobs
...nutrional readings per 100g of Tesco regular ready salted crisps, the value pack actually works out in most areas to be of better nutritional value. A 12 pack of Tesco value crisps will cost you 47p A 12 pack of Tesco regular crisps will cost you £1.56. Overall rating. If your not a brand snob they I would recommend these, I prefer the fact that they aren't as salty as many other crisps and that nutrionally they are better for you than Tesco's non ...
