Cristie's DDS4 DAT Autochanger offers both cost-effective and reliable data protection, based on the industry standard DAT format. With a 6 tape cartridge magazine, giving up to 240Gb of capacity and a transfer speed of up to5.5Mb/sec (compressed), the DDS4 Autochanger can completely automate the backup process. It is ideally suited to Large PC Servers and Networks and has the industry's highest reliability and MTBF (meantime before failures); it also has an in-built innovative cleaning mechanism, resulting in minimal user intervention and the lowest downtime in its class. The Autoloader is simple to use and employ's a unique push cartridge transport mechanism, which eliminates potential miss-grip issues for even greater reliability. The Autochanger is also read and write compatible with DDS-1, DDS-2 and DDS-3 tape formats.
