Advantages: A magnificent poem Disadvantages: May seem too long for modern taste
...MatthewArnold (1822 - 1888) was the son of Thomas Arnold, the headmaster of Rugby School, made famous in the novel Tom Brown’s Schooldays. He was a brilliant scholar, who became popular and distinguished very quickly when he took up a scholarship at Balliol, Oxford, where he was eventually appointed Professor of Poetry. Advantages: Nicely organised collection of great poetry Disadvantages: Doesn't provide much detail about each poet/poem

Advantages: a perfect piece of literature, a wonderful wrting, highly poetic Disadvantages: not known
...Mathew Arnold is an important name in the history of english literature in general and in poetry and criticism in particular. Mathew Arnold has many admirers who like his poetry both in content and style. His is a matter inspired by the classic and his is the manner fueld by the romantic. Infact it is perfectly ture when someone said that when any reads Mathews criticism, he becomes a critic himself at the end. Although some may disagree for his criticism of the 18th century and the earlier 19th century poets, his touch stone method has been widely appreciated....
