Crocs Gabe Open Boys Sandals

Jack having wide feet seemed even more of a problem in the summer as a lot of the sandals from Next and places like that were often designed for the thinner foot. I had spend a fair bit on sandals that had to be returned because they just didn't fit Jacks feet or indeed didn't feel comfortable for him to wear.

Eventually I decided on buying some Crocs for him from an online store at a pretty reasonable price. Jack can be pretty fussy when it comes to what he likes to wear and I knew that the nice bright electric blue colour that I chose these Crocs in would appeal to him and also the fact that on the front of the Croc is a white picture of a crocodile. This looks rather similar to a dinosaur which he is mad on so I assumed he would really like these shoes, and I was right.

Paying around £25 for the shoes was probably a little over what you can pick up children's Crocs for but I liked the look of these and thought they were perfect for the beach and perhaps worth that little bit extra. I was worried at first that they might have to be returned if they didn't fit Jack's wide feet but I needn't have worried as they were a perfect fit.

The Electric blue certainly was bright and Jack loved it. I would say that the white crocodile on the front of the shoe probably wasn't the best idea as it attracted the dirt more than the other parts of the shoe but in general Crocs are the easiest shoes to clean as you can just take a dish brush to them and they come up a treat (do not use your current dish brush like Himself did and thought it would be okay to carry on cleaning our dishes with!).

The shoes are great and are probably the best fitting and most comfortable shoes Jack has ever had. They let the feet breath with the ventilation holes and the soft rubbery material that they are made from is soft and gentle on little feet. The holes in the shoes do have downsides as the dirt pores in and makes little feet especially grubby!

Jack didn't like wearing them on the beach or in the sea because the sand that gets into the shoe then collects itself inside but he doesn't mind going bare foot down there and saving his Crocs for when we are walking along the revetment. Jack was able to do a good deal of walking in the shoes too as they were really comfortable and seemed like he didn't even have shoes on his feet because of the fact that they are so light weight.

I really cannot find much at fault with the shoes and I really hope they will fit Jack again next summer but even if they don't, I will probably buy another pair because compared with the Clarks summer shoes these look a lot better, feel better on Jacks feet and cost around the same price.

I am awarding top marks of 5 stars out of 5 stars here and giving them a very high recommendation.

I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.

Many thanks for taking the time to read.
