4 Stars Essex Triumph dealer. Review with images 05/06/2008

Advantages Advantages Fully stocked spares department.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Long wait for services.

This is the dealership for Triumph in the Essex area. It has a showroom on the ground floor with a further showroom and parts shop upstairs. They have a fully equiped workshop on the premises and all the staff are friendly. The local RAT pack is based here too, (RAT = Riders Association of Triumph), they organise rides out and also excursions to the Triumph factory. I bought my Triumph Trophy from them and shortly after i bought it from them it wasnt running correctly so took it straight there and they looked at it for me there and then. I couldnt have asked for better service. As they are a ... more

    Advantages Advantages Erm, none!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Rude, arrogant, unpleasant and expensive

I will NEVER go back to these people. I've had nothing but hassle in getting the bike running properly with them and now I've got a damaged bike which they reckon was like it when I brought it in. They're impossible to reason with and they're rude and unpleasant when things go wrong. Sweet as pie when they smell a sale, but much less helpful afterwards. I've had to have the work done elsewhere and it was fixed first time and turned out to be a simple throttle sensor costing a few quid - so much for all the exhaustive tests that these people had to do (and the resulting costs) - and they still ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages After care, what after care?

I recently bought a bike from them but never again, once I handed over my money the salesman (I use the term loosly) was in a rush and lost interest in me. I noticed on the sale form he had totally mesed up the price of the bike with figures crossed out, I should have checked this before signing anything but it was all rather faint on the copy I had. The delivery day was messed up by them as they didn't contact the driver they use The rad on the bike had a leak and I was told to look around the hoses etc which I already did, then told to take it to someone for them to establish where it was ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lots of bikes

Disadvantages Disadvantages Disgraceful customer service. lack of morals

After dropping my Daytona 675r I required a few parts to fix it :-( I purchased a front & rear brake lever, mirror and a bar end. Everything was very simple to fit until I got to the bar end which was very tricky to fit and I decided I wouldn't attempt it. The bar end wasn't that badly damaged anyway! The following day I called and spoke to the Yvonne who had originally taken my call and sold me the parts and explained the situation and she said it was fine to bring the bar end back and she'd issue a refund of that part. I thought that was reasonable and drove to Ongar Motorcycles. Admittedly ... more
