the jewel in the crown
Review of Miele T 7734 (ventilation) by
philfranks84
Advantages: sleek & stylish new design for a miele
Disadvantages: none whatsoever
...miele just gets better and better every year, some brand name appliences only last a couple of years at the most, and the quality worsens, and the prices rise dramatically, however, not miele.
i have recently purchased the miele liquidwash washing machine, (which i have also written a review of), and was looking for something to accompany it, and, i found this little beauty.
and now, im going to tell you why it is the 'jewel in the crown'.
im not one to baffle people with posh wording etc, so i like to get straight to the point.
this tumble dryer is the best thing since sliced bread.
my old tumble dryer used to cost me £8 a week electricty to run, and that one was for about 15 loads.
this miele is costing me £2 a week to run, for 20 loads at 1 hour per cycle, thats just 10p a load!

The best
Review of GHD Salon Styler by
LYNDZ27
Advantages: Quick and simple
Disadvantages: The price
...I've been using striaghtners for about 4 or 5 years as I have long thick and slightly curly hair. My GHD salon straightners are my second pair of ceremics but the difference between the two was very obvious! My last pair were a cheaper make which were not as hot and tempremental as they would switch off when you moved around.
My ghd's are great! They heat very quickly and straighten my hair easily. The cable is long and doesn't tangle easily which is great for moving aroung and can be used quite a distance from the plug socket.
They are rather expensive but I feel they were worth it. My only other niggle is that as the salon styler has wider plates it can be hard to smooth down the hair at the crown without burning yourself and as like all straightners you do have to be careful not to burn yourself by handling your hair too...

Excellent 5 burner hob
Review of John Lewis JLBIGH702 by
lou0503
Advantages: Perfect cooking control
Disadvantages: Very heavy pan supports
...I recently bought this hob from Waitrose for my new kitchen. I was very pleased with the price (£299) which included free delivery by Waitrose.
The gas hob itself is fantastic, it has one simmer burner, two semi-rapid burners and a rapid burner, but the main glory goes to the double crown burner which is perfect for either wok cooking or for when you need a pan to boil very quickly! The burners have electronic ignition so easy to turn on one handed.
The hob also looks great with its stainless steel finish and cast iron pan supports and looks like a much more expensive model. However, i must point out that the pan supports are extremely heavy to lift off when the hob needs cleaning. For ease of cleaning, the supports and burner equipment are dishwasher safe which is handy for those cooked-on splashes. Baby oil was recommended to me...
