...it is soo baffling. Crucial.com takes all the hassle out of this. They have a program which scans your laptop and tells you the type of memory you need, how much memory your laptop can take and most importantly, how much it will cost. To be honest, my intention was to use cruscial.com to find out what memory i needed and then find it cheaper elsewhere - but crucial.com were actually the cheapest! I ordered 4GB of RAM (2 X 2GB) from crucial.com. It was a hell of a lot cheaper than other websites I looked at. The site design is very clean and easy to use with just one nav bar at the top. They also provide a really useful program which will scan your computer and show you what upgrades are compatible - which was good for me as I didn't have a clue. Today I am not going to try to create a title for this review that has some awful pun in it. Either I'm losing my touch or maybe the mood isn't right, but I recently bought a memory upgrade for my laptop and was impressed with my choice of supplier. With an old-fashioned 512Mb installed the Acer Aspire that I have used for the last two years is OK for general use but starts to falter when I try to run too many programs at once. OK, I thought, time ... ...one of the easiest ways to pep up your PC and these days it doesn't have to cost the earth. When I first started to work with PCs a 'big' upgrade was installing 4 Mbytes extra, and this would set you back over £100. Last week I ordered 2 Gigabytes of RAM from Crucial.com, which cost me £20.99, including VAT and delivery.

Could not be easier. Select your computer/digital camera/etc. from the drop down menus and the site tells you what choice of memory is compatible. Prices are very reasonable. Delivery was within 24 hours (ordered 2pm arrived next day) and free (and memory works perfectly). ...
